Love your enthusiasm , on the junk silver , if your saving because you think silver is going up, when you go to sell, when silver returns to demand prices, they will probably buy by weight. I would stay clear of barbers, they had a tendency to wear a lot, something to do with design. Better off with mercs they wore much better, but still would be better hoarding roosies. Have a bit over 10,00 presently. Love mercs because they will never be counterfeited and are always recognizable. Nice video.
Nice finds. Congrats on your first Barber. I'd give the 1914 Barber a better grade than you said; closer to a VG8 in my opinion. Better details in the ear, eye, wreath, and headband than in G6 but always subject to others views. More detail in the feathers of the eagles wings as well.
I've been known to be kind of strict on grading Washington Quarters and Standing Liberty Quarter varieties (3 designs/strikes), so both of us have our coin of choice. All individual opinion based since as far as I gather neither of us work for a third party grading service. Even they don't always agree either. The good new is that the other Barber Half even with the neck gash it should still grade with a "details" designation, but not a full grade. There's always a chance it would be retuned as "damaged with details grade" as well. Looked nice otherwise and would be worthy of filling a spot in a date book till a better one appeared.
Nice Pickups and a good time to do it! Especially like the 1914 full liberty. Lol- If you take all the '64's out of your nickel box...You might get another $31+ to reinvest. Good Luck CRH-ing
I found a nice 1914 barber dime in xf 45 condition it was a beutiful coin and I was shocked to find i was only 2.50 in the junk silver bin that was one of my coolest finds great video i love the edit work
I have thought of it, but I I don't think there is much of a calling for bank tellers in my area. They are all taken...women. Thanks for watching wakingthebull.
I know how it feels to start from scratch. My best coin in my collection at one time was a 1930 Buffalo nickel in G-4 condition. I payed $1 to own it back in year 2001. That was the begining of my coin collection. I started investing in some uncirculated wheat cents here and there. Then some silver war nickels, and eventualy I got enough experience to start collecting the larger denomonation US silver coins. My first Silver dollar was a 1879 Morgan dollar in XF-45 that I purchased in 2002 for $19.50 I was so proud of it, I looked at it nearly every day for a month. One thing that helped with my coin knowledge was a subscription to Coin World magazine. I learned a lot. How this message helps. Good night.
Dang, my coin collection is so tiny compared to EVERY youtube person showing their collection. Lol. I don't care though. Still love my coins. I haven't done much buying when it comes to coins. I usually just find everything from my change. Would anyone be interested in doing coin trading ?! I don't have high dollar coins unfortunately, but maybe I have something you'd like and vice versa?! Also this guy is my favorite collector to watch. Lol. His enthusiasm and the way you can tell he actually likes doing what he does is good.

Aha! He's alive!!! lol. Very nice pickups. I think you did quite well on the barber's and merc's, and everything :P I'm excited to see what you scored in this nickel box. When will the vid be up!?
Good Pick ups . Is that 1893 barber quarter an offset mm strike ? I thought the mm on all those were center below the tail feather ? Something to think about . Well Done .
CoinHuntingDrew I have suffered some crushing emotional blows this past year. It hurts every time I try to put it behind me. I have not been well enough to make videos. I feel so sad. It will take time. I have to finish some homework now. I will keep in touch.
