This was awesome to watch. Sadly, Ms. Nichols has recently passed away but thankfully stories like this will be around potentially forever. Rest in peace Ms. Nichelle Nichols and Nyoto Uhura. Thanks for the memories!

She's an amazing woman! Not only did she recruit for NASA, she also went on two missions on board research aircraft.

Star Trek has had many lovely ladies throughout it's history. However, it has only ONE Queen! Nichelle Nichols. She was the first and she is still the best! You go girl!

I am just watching this awesome presentation 9 days after her passing. Thank you Nichelle for bring Uhura to life for us to enjoy and thank you for sticking it out through the face of racism. At least you got to take the conn of the Enterprise in the animated Star Trek series episode "The Lorelei siginal". Rest in peace knowing that you helped make the world a little more equitable for races and genders to work together and improve mankind as we move into the future.

So sad this dear lady is gone. Thanks for all your efforts dear one. Hope you are riding the great ship into eternity. Not only a beautiful lady but a great human being.

RIP Nichelle you'll be missed but never forgotten

Born in 77 I never watch the origin series even though I've seen all the others multiple times. Watching this has convinced me it was my loss. I'm going back to pay respects and watch it with this context, proud of all the trail blazers that brought me my favorite, Deep Space 9.

I am so grateful that Nichelle did this interview. Her legacy has inspired so many to forge ahead. I can not disbelieve that one day humanity will make that leap to unity and explore the far reaches of our galaxy and beyond. I have faith my descendants will be here to go were no one has gone before.

Very informative. We need more from the rest of the cast while there is still time.
