I was bullied at school and I had to be moved school twice because of bullying and this song did a lot to get me through. I teach bullied school kids self defence and I make sure the parents buy their kids a copy of this. Although Nick Berry never realised it his song will change the lives of many bullied school kids forever.
Unfortunately, I was bullied at school BECAUSE of this song. My name is Simon Wicks, and as soon as Lou Beale saw Nick’s character in the Vic and announced, “My grandson, Simon Wicks!” when I was 14, I knew my life at school would change the next day. And it did. And Nick releasing this fucking song didn’t help, as everyone loooooved to sing it to me. I’m sure you can relate to this, 007.
@@simonwicks62 the bullies are socially awkward, inadequate oddballs which is why they bullied you,if you want to know what they are doing now don’t search on Facebook search on the sex offenders register, you’ll probably find them there
This was the 29th best-selling single of the entire 1980s according to chart compilers MRIB, so the public didn't really think it was bad! ru-vid.com/group/PL6oCQqv2KW6V5JAfkUBy6M1vOs0sBe6HO

Always was & always will be a MASTERPIECE!! Anyone that doesn’t like it give me one song from today Sept.2021 with as much passion & a song written & performed as well?
This song knocked Madonna off of number 1 in 1986 and stayed there for 3 weeks. It couldn’t have been that bad. Had to come have a listen after watching Eastenders all over again on Drama every weekday. They played it to death on Eastenders. I can still remember my Sisters buying this on LP when I was 6.
He confessed in a Smash Hits interview that he can’t sing for toffee, which was even used as a quote on the cover! Pleasant enough voice though, and he can carry a tune. Very nice song, I don’t know why songs like this with good lyrics are generally considered naff. Middle of the road maybe, but certainly credible.
I bought the single as a kid. What with the bullying I went through I felt like a loser but this song gave me hope. Now, the severe depressive side of me says Im still waiting for the win but the more positive half says I had a great family so was already a winner and now I have a great son so double win.
Hi- I have an acquaintance in my life who sounds just like you also now has a lovely family....and a caravan to boot!!! He’s going through a real transition in his life from couch potato to fitness guru...he’s mad on the battle ropes! Give it a pop 💪🏻👍🏻
This song takes me a long way back, I did and still do love this song...... This song seemed to find it's way into a part of my life and embedded itself there :)
Hot on the heels of Anita Dobson having a hit with Anyone Can Fall in Love, this went to number 1 in October 1986,knocking True Blue by Madonna off the top of the chart and staying there for four weeks!
Wow -- I'm not surprised given how much I've always loved this song. But I am surprised given how little it's played on the classic music radio stations. Have actually never heard it.
I love it, is magnificent! I knew this theme in 1987, days before I go away from my home for ever. I never heard it again for many years until 2009... Thanks to upload it here!
I was 18 when this first was released ..not interested in it and have heard it a handful of times in the last 32 years and never paid it any attention, guess what? Just heard it tonight Nov 2018 on TOTP, fckn masterpiece, love it, I've been musically deaf all these years😂
i just love the 80's music....one of the most played decades on tv...at least in that era u could understand wat they was singing....lol....lol...i like the music of today as well but there will never been another 80's decade music again......
If this had been Barry Manilow or Elton John singing, it would’ve been a classic. Because it was Wicksy from Eastenders, it ends up in a really bad songs list. Doesn’t seem fair.
I think the incredibly cheesy video condemned the song. The singing is strong though. Maybe a McDonald's remember the 80s advert will re-establish it like "Nothings gonna change my love for you"
Loved this song back in 1986 as a huge fan of Nick Berry. Hearing it again now as older brings back some good teens I had. Off Course Nick Berry was very fit and still is. Come on Nick make a comeback. 😊
Brilliant song by a brilliant young artist who has been working on this song 🎵 since it became available to download and play on iTunes yesterday morning on my iPhone 📱 yesterday afternoon listening on the sound effects and the song was a bit more interesting love emma Barlow and Gary Barlow
great song song remember it from when i was young. its refreshing to hear somethig from a time when people weren't made to sound good by a database full of special fx.
No entiendo porque dice "lista de malas canciones" .Esta es una de las más bellas canciones que descubrí en mi primera adolescencia y podría escuchar para siempre con la misma opinión.Hermosa canción por siempre.
this song is so beautiful and timeless it always makes me feel emotional i think its the way Nick sings it and i love his voice its soft i always cry to this song because it is so touching and a classic i love old songs like this i loved it when i first heard it in Eastenders in the 80's what a song it brings back so many happy memories i had a crush on Nick Berry he was so gorgeous and really dishy in the 80's and he is still sexy and a great actor & a lovely guy in real life
A LOT of copies of this record turned up a "bring'n'buy"/fete at my school, in Nuneaton in the early 90s. Place was flooded with 'em! Have to admit, Nick/"Wicksey" (as he was known in Eastenders) looks pretty good in the video, despite the slightly mullet-y hair. And also think I recognise some of the canal videos's, look like they were filmed in Gas Street Basin, Birmingham!
As I recall (back in the days when I did watch EE!) they used this song in the storyline between Michelle and Lofty when the two of them were having relationship issues.
It's actually a good song a inspring song to inspire people whaat they currently doing right now love this song in 2021 blown out of portion altogether
it says its in a list of bad songs?? are you kidding me, after all the shit that comes out these days, the mass produced covered sampled, auto tuned crap. this is one of those rare gem songs that gets over looked, sure the video is a bit crap but wasnt they all back then
You can't judge a song out of it's era! In 20 years time we'll be saying the same thing about todays music. Who has never said 'I'll never be like my parents, I'll always be cool?'
Pieseň urobila najväčší skok z pôvodne 66.m. na 4. a potom na 1.m.a stala sa druhým najpredávanejším singlom roka po piesni Communards Don´t Leave Me This Way. amy grants love will find a way was heard a lot in 1985 this song is similar positive and uplifting but i never heard it in 1986 that i can remember but this music and singing is exquisite.
A lovely, slow-moving ballad song. "Every Loser Wins" by Nick Berry was the second biggest selling single in the UK Singles Music Charts in 1986. Boris Gardiner's "I Wanna Wake Up With You" was the third best selling single, and "Don't Leave Me This Way" by the Communards (with Jimmy Sommerville) was the top selling single in the UK single Charts in 1986.
I remember, 1986.... when this song became no 1 in the UK, it gave me so much strenght and belief to go my way..💚💙💜🤎❤🧡. when i was bullied in school... and... I made it very big in life... ,...................(dont know which idiot ranked this masterpiece among the top 100 really bad songs)
This is just beautiful music ..in 1986 you could still hear beautiful music like this without someone criticizing it or without it being relegated to being religious music
This hit from Nick Berry was the 552nd #1 song of the Rock Era in the United Kingdom. We prepare to say goodbye to 1986 and prepare to welcome in 1987. What will the music scene be like in the UK in the upcoming year? Stay tuned.
