Me watching a 5 second commercial before the video: Go! GO fuck! Get the fuck outta h- Me watching video after video advertising OJ Wheels: I need more than this. Please.
The Nick Boserio videos for me are what skateboarding is supposed to be about. That Rodney Mullen stuff is cool. The downhill longboarding stuff is cool. But for me skateboarding was always about charging round your local area for the fun of it. Driving to the top of a huge mountain or spending hours learning how to spin around on the spot just never really connected with what I considered to be the goal of skateboarding. If skateboarding is supposed to be anything more than just cruising around and looking cool while you do it then that's a sport that I don't really relate to. Skating round the block is all I ever really wanted from skateboarding and I wished I'd worked that out years ago.
ThunderJuice rules. I copped a set a couple years ago thinking i was gna be aggro like Nick in this vid, but without pushing, you're already going. I love that tho, cuz i'm fat and i hate pushing lmao Only for the big boys, for real.
@@jorchcm1 YES dude! I had been sk8n almost 20yrs when i first got them, and they improved my sk8n dramatically. Becuz of the speeds of the juice, when i throw on my 99a & 100a, i can carve better and handle the speed more.
The advantage of thunderjuice is the long distance one push can go. The speed was not as fast as I initially thought it would be. Even hot juice is fast enough to experience.
I use my thunder juices the same way depicted in this vid monster trucking over everything and anything because rural Australian footpaths and roads arent forgiving
Great wheels, great run! 🤙🏼💨 Any reason not to use them wear them inside out? I like that they stick less out and turn grippy. Any pro and cons anyone?
Så can anyone tell med what the setup here is ?? I have a 9.89 Powell old-school board in the making but needs a good advice for trucks and wheels like this ??
I've used Thunderjuice on a 9.1, and it's always gna be a little tanky, but it was more surfy. I have big feet, so u rly gotta ride that wheelbase instead of on the tail so much. Works gr8 😏🤙🏽 Rn I've got them set up on a 10" Lucero w/ 215s to tank for the sake of tanking.
Pretty much from what I understand is they'll maintain speed for longer because of the size of the wheel and feel smoother then the 60's when going over rough ground hope this helps 😊
@@lewielew appreciate the reply! I went with the 75’s and 1/2” risers. We’ll see how it works out! I typically ride 54mm on my normal setup. But as my skateboarding is transitioning from going to parks to mainly using it as transportation to and from the bar with some slappy’s and kickflips in between I hope this will be a solid choice
At least a half inch riser. I ride Indys and use a 1/2" with an 1/8" for extra turnability before getting wheelbite. Also, OJ sells a 3/8" riser which is perfect.
@@skatebarfer I just got a polar p9 shape with wheel wells I want to see how big wheels work on that setup. Was thinking of getting powell snakes or g slides a nice soft wheel that actually slides because I have wheels that claim to be freeride wheels but can never bust them into a slide. I want to find soft wheels that slide predictably and with minimal effort like I would with my 104a bones stf wheels
@@705skate Get 59mm or 55mm g-slides from Powell they are awesome and last long. They are the only soft wheels that actually slide decent at regular skating speeds.
@@Skybij This is the exact reply I was looking for. I like how you emphasized at skating speed because I definitely don't go super fast like hardcore downhill riders so I need a soft wheel that slides at slower speeds. Much appreciated!
I WAS LAUGHING THROUGH THE WHOLE VIDEO. WASN'T SURE IF I WANTED TO BUY THESE BUT SURE, WHY NOT. I LIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO AND I WAS JUST GIVEN AN OLD ROSKOPP FACE DECK. IT'S UGLY AS HELL, IT'S PINK AND FADES TO YELLOW. ILL GET THE GREY ONES. THANKS FOR THE VID
