Chapeau, Andre. Great clip!

i'm a fan of Nick Lowe, and this is right up there as one of my favourite of his songs. He was no doubt being a bit tongue-in-cheek with his preface (this song, a radio-friendly unit shifter for Justin Bieber? with, say, a Wiz Khalifa rap feature?) Beautiful melody, Lyric slightly undercut buy some tin-pan-alleyness in the bridge (which i think is a bit of a Lowe watermark -- a winking allusion to songs as shop-craft). In any case, in this performance, he deftly downplays that aspect. I'm impressed with how well he evokes the ensemble arrangement with a few simple gestures, e.g. backing away from the mic to mimic the vocal chorus.
