I wish Josh would reunite with Nick once again. The past is the past let's put it to rest. QOTSA needs to get this attitude back. They have been soft for too long now.
@@akwilson1676 Nick kept beating his girlfriend up. Josh told him to stop or he was out of the band. His behavior persisted and Josh kept his word. If I was Josh, I would have done the same thing. Allowing a human to be abused isn't work keeping any artistic endeavor going. My favorite QOTSA era is with Nick Oliveri but anyone who would excuse his behavior is no friend of mine.
@@ryanlusby569 Yeah but they have made up already. And Nick is done with all that. I think the reason Josh doesn't want Nick in the band is because he doesn't want to do their current bassist dirty. Nick did sing backup vocal back in Like Clockwork...
Lyrics from Dog Food, an Iggy Pop song I'm hanging around that same old scene My girlfriend Betsy she's just fourteen There's nothing better for me to do I'm living on dog food
@@dorkknight42 no, but I saw Mondo back in March 2020 right before shit hit the fan with the pandemic and they were amazing. Nick never half-asses a show like Josh does now and again these days
@@lean2281 damn, that’s a good comeback dude, did you know Josh also looked straight at a woman, grinned and more or less kicked her straight in the face in the middle of a show back in 2017? The rumours that Nick was abusive to his girlfriend only ever actually came from Josh too. Food for thought is all I’m saying...
Oh I get that I do. I simply meant in the writing process of new songs, I like all of the songs Nick and Mark Lanegan did, (I know Mark is no longer with us, Digressing) I think its badass that QOTSA is breaking more into the rhythmic Dance-Rock genre it connects with. I just miss the older stuff that was more on the heavy zany side. Thats all I meant.
