S4 E4 Olympics
This gorgeous mountain is not volcanic, but the accumulation of millions of years of ocean sediment pushed into a dazzling mountain range.

This was so cool to watch. I live on the waterfront on Vancouver Island, Canada and look at the Olympic mountains everyday. There are beautiful.

Thanks you for this. In the late 40's and early 50's I would go with my father to hurricane ridge (road was dirt then) and backpack into the mountain lakes. Fishing there you were certain to limit every day. It was wonderful.

Some of the most beautiful spots in North America are on the Olympic Peninsula. The fact that I have lived there and hiked in those dark green valleys up to those glaciers has nothing to do with my opinion. The Enchanted Valley, Low Divide and High Divide, Storm King Mountain, Mount Colonel Bob, all are incredible places, worth exploring.

Very nice to end my evening with a blast from the past. The Olympic Peninsula, and especially Hurricane Ridge, is home to numerous orchid species. Many of those tiny spring flowers are native orchids, part of the magic of the Pacific NW. Looking forward to the continuation of Baja BC A-Z. I'm a solid 8 with 9 in sight. Thanks again.

Great and informative vid! I did have to ask though, considering where they are located, the peninsula range os obviously still growing. But do we know at what rate? And how tall they'll eventually top at out?
