most people did/do it just became a trend to hate on them. In my personal experience everyone i asked who claimed to hate them to name more than 2 songs by them could only name photograph
@@showaker4755 lol? I have a hard time remembering the title of songs I love... Why would I remember the title to songs I find "meh"? They're not a bad band but it's mostly the same cookie-cutter stuff. They're mostly disliked due to their lack of originality!

Things we loves stick in our heads as do things we hate. Love and hate are strong emotions that have lasting effects on a normal functioning brain. It quite literally is part of the science of our brains.
@@13christbane the Nickelback hate is mostly a meme that got out of hand and people just take for real, to a point they started believing in it. And, once they started believing, they will rationalize in 1000s different ways.
Mostly because it's 'cool' to hate them. As much as liking the same things brings people together, hating the same things brings people together even more. Anything really popular (which Nickelback is/was) is going to have an equal amount of hate from people being cool and edgy.
I have never understood the hate, I was amazed when I found out people unironically hated this band. I've heard them playing in the car since I was a kid & never once did I hear a track I didn't like. They were one of the first vinyls I ever purchased & I'm glad they're still continuing to make music today.
They're one of my favourite bands I discovered many years ago while I was still a teenager. Lullaby was the first song I heard from them and it's been my favourite to this day.
No one hated them until they got huge and it became cool to hate them. They'll give you a bunch of reasons why they hate them but they're lying, deep down they still dig nickelback.
It's rather irritating how much people hate on Nickelback, but that's their problem for missing out on good music. Imo, hate if you want but just stfu about it. Am I right?
I've always loved Nickleback and never understood why they were ridiculed so much. If one of their songs comes on the radio, I turn it up and sing along. I'm not embarrassed to say I love their music.

It is always wonderful when someone uses their powers for good. Ryan Reynolds’s has always done that in ways both great and small. Thanks for always reminding us that Nickleback is always a fun listen. Always better to elevate than deflate.

Making catchy pop songs isn't enough to be praised anymore this isn't the 50s or even the 90s. None of their music or singing is anywhere close to extraordinary or exceptional and in a world with a million people to do the same - it feels wrong to like a band that really doesn't put a lot of effort into their music. Read the lyrics of their hit "Too Bad" and tell me that is worth millions of dollars.
This is all so meta and funny. In his inimitable way, one of the most universally beloved men on the continent redeems one of the most universally dissed bands on the continent by asking them to sing a song called unredeemable.
SPIRITED is now my favorite Christmas movie. This version of Unredeemable with Nickelback is awesome but the Original Version is by far my favorite. Ryan you and Will made literary a perfect Christmas movie and I thank you so much for that. It’s funny because honestly I don’t care for musicals but SPIRITED is the exception to the rule and I truly Thank You for that. I’ve watched the movie 5 times now and I’ve gotten close friends and family to watch it as well and they all love it too. SPIRITED is no joke going to be watched every year and is now a Christmas tradition in my household. 10 out of 10 absolutely perfect movie! The reason Nickelback are hated so much is because they are so good. Every "hater", hates the fact they like at least one of Nickelback's songs and that's what drives it. Miss the days me and the other members of my band were on the road blasting the Nickelback tunes out from town-to-town, city-to-city. Met the guys as well when they played at Liverpool Echo as they (very graciously) signed a guitar for a charity we were patrons of and they are absolute gents of the highest order - lovely guys. One of the best bands ever; whatever is said about them 😊❤
This is my first hearing of this song. Another great song. And Chad is looking great - love the shorter hair. The whole band looks way more mature. I love the band (they’re the last concert I went to in 2005). So glad they have a song in a movie I can’t wait to see!

My family & I saw #Spirited and really enjoyed it. We love the cast and had to see Ryan in this type of film. Well done Ryan Reynolds, Octavia Spencer, Will Ferrell, Tracy Morgan and Sunita Mani as well as the rest of the cast. To have #Nickelback sing this....I'm just lost for words. I love Nickelback & they can make anything sound good.

Love Nickelbacks music & love seeing them live in concert. They really know how to entertain a crowd. I also love Ryan Reynolds in absolutely everything he does.
Can't say I've seen Spirited yet, but I have seen Nickelback live twice. Of the many concerts I've been to of various genres, Nickelback are still put on one of the best shows I've ever seen.
The Peloton Wife, Milli Vanilli, Wrexham FC and now Nickelback, reaching the top is just as important as carrying as many as you can with you. Kindness of the spirited Mr. Reynolds.

Ive listened to Nickelback live once and loved it. I am 13 years old and I have loved Nickelback for my whole life and I cannot name a single song i hate that nickelback has created. This just adds another song to ones i love. And as a Canadian that lives just south of where this band was created I will always love them.

Hate is never justified but neither is putting this very, very average band on a pedestal. There are Canadian bands with way more talent that will never get the money or recognition these guys did - because if your music isn't liked by soccer moms, you aren't going to make it big. Very 'rock'.

I’ve always loved the early Nickleback and don’t understand the backlash they have faced as a band…….Shame on you haters . I loved listening to your tunes when I lived in Whistler in early 2000’s and my trips to Vancouver playing volleyball at Kits Beach……good memories ♥️👏🏻🍾
