As messed up as the world seems right now, it's pretty damn cool to enjoy some of this future tech we didn't think was possible when we were kids. All the shows, all the time, whenever you want, literally in the palm of our hands. The future isn't as bad as we think.
I have a hard time believing I am 33 now…. I still remember so much, what a time man! We had it all man and didn’t know how good we actually had it until now when rewatch everything. We were the last kids with all the cartoons… on every channel
Indeed we were 37 and looking back at this kind of stuff is always a nostalgia hit. Something about having the original commercials just makes re-watching hit different then just binge watching what few series they allowed on dvd and even fewer that have a full series release (im looking at you more than half the disney afternoon that have incomplete series STILL TO THIS DAY or none at all and probably never well unless disney+ goes under) aside from the odd saturday morning cartoons that rarely see a series release and if they do they arent printed for long. Even tho i can watch most of these even the game shows from the era on youtube (what episodes exist anyway cause gameshows even back then were notorious for not saving copies of the show as it would never be resold) they never hit the same as when you add in the bumpers and even commercials lol.
Back in the day and everytime we go on vacation, I look forward to watching Nick or Cartoon Network at the hotel. We dont have cable tv at home hehe. These uploads relive core memories! I don't know if TV stations today offer such kind of cartoon shows. This is such a nostalgia trip!
31 now.... Reminds me when my family was not broken when me and my sis were best friends watching spongebob the 1st day it dropped now... Im all alone living life alone... TBH dont know anymore.... I can feel myself getting closer the the edge life aint been great... today i came home from work and snapped out i was like wtf i worked all day and to me i did not notice it was like i was on auto piolet
I knew exactly what I had. I remember getting sad at every birthday. I hated getting older. My mom was a terrible example of what I thought adulthood would be like that tho. The only good thing about it is having a kid of my own 🫶🏽 and seeing her happy. Her birthday is the 5th and mine is the on 7th.
We had those empty VHS tapes and I'd make my mom record my favorite episodes so I could keep rewatching them and it saved money on the box sets. Now having the commercials in their is part of the nostalgia, who knew lol
NO REASON AT ALL??? We didn't have a way to stream videos or shows if we missed them or wanted to watch them again we had to get lucky and maybe in the next couple years they might play that episode again.
I had this conversation with my kids the other day! I said that they are so cool, but they would be so much cooler if they would get my pop culture references!
I will sit here and watch 20 year old commercials but get irritated at a 30 second ad on RU-vid!!!! I wish commercials were as good now as they were back then...... What happened? I am so happy someone preserved this stuff!!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Hold on, now-I specifically remember hating commercials back then, too! I just think these ones have the now-added value of nostalgia. Just wait until 30 years from NOW, when you’re nostalgic about TODAY’S ads. 😅
Eh late 80s commercials were even better. Don't get me wrong these are way better than the current versions but. I prefer the early 90s and late to mid 80s ones.
@@Level_Eleven I hated certain commercials in the 90’s but not all of them. Some were cool. Now every single commercial is just too commercial. No creativity. All of them are done the same way. And I don’t remember as many drug commercials either. I actually don’t remember any drug commercials from the 90’s.
Dude I’m watching this at 29 years old and I swear it’s like I’m transported right back to my childhood. This is soooooo nostalgic. It feels like I’m right there again.
@@peacefulpsyche What he should've said was the first to stack everything wins. I bet they couldn't do a tiebreaker due to the filming schedule, so that's the excuse he came up with on the spot.
Takes me back to the age I was still innocent sitting in front of the TV with a big bowl of cereal I am 38 years old and I still enjoy these classic cartoons thanks for the upload and the memories
We’re the same age. I was just telling my daughter yesterday how awesome Saturday morning cartoons were, even before Nickelodeon took over. Then this pops up in my recommended videos today. I’ll definitely have to watch this with her during summer break. ❤
I’m 32 and doing just that, but replace the bowl of cereal with a bowl of Indica. In this day and age where everything feels fake and calculated, this hits different. Life back then was different, we had hope for a brighter future
Born in ‘93 and now I’m 30 about to be 31. I have always dreamed of a rainy cold day, where I could just stay home from work, turn on the heater, laying on the couch wrapped up in a cozy blanket and watch Rugrats all day long while eating junk food. I guess after all these years that day is today, finally! Thank god for people like you and my mom who would record 90’s Nickelodeon cartoons on VHS. Commercials and ALL. So damn nostalgic. 🧡💚
@@dannygreen592I remember every single show that came on Nickelodeon in the 90’s. Including Nick Jr. and Nick at night even when they would play old school shows like Happy Days etc….
This has been a rough week for me. I lost my mother on Tuesday and me and my brother are the only family that has cared to show up for my dad. On top of that, I had to get all of my teeth removed yesterday due to early onset osteoporosis and other dental issues. My birthday is in 4 days and I’ll be turning 37. Going through so much pain emotionally, physically and psychologically. I just put this on without thinking much of it. My boyfriend whose my age is home with me to take care of me. This has taken us both back to a simpler time. Keep recognizing kids toys we had during commercials. It’s given me a much needed little break from the weight of everything. Thank you so much for uploading. I hope everyone else here is having a nice time waxing nostalgic for a little while 🙂
I'm so sorry for your loss -- losing a parent is so difficult. And to have all that on top of what's already super difficult...I'm sorry you're going through this. May her memory forever be for blessing and may you have complete renewal of body, mind and spirit very soon
35 and baked on a Sunday morning. These commercials are giving me chills. It's so nostalgic. I always wanted to be on that show GUTS! or whatever it was called. Peace
hey millennials, ily very much and although the struggle is real- we can unite in this 3 HOUR beauty of nostalgia 😩 As we continue applying a strong mix of healthy & unhealthy coping mechanisms - always remember- “idc who you are, where you’re from, don’t care what you did…As long as you love me” 🤘🏽
same here life made so much more sense was a lot easier we would actually talk with our friends during class in the hallways between classes at lunch afterschool was easier to make friends food was cheaper i remember back in the early 2000s being able to get two bags of chips and juice for 75 cents now you need ten bucks for a bag of chips the memories i'm so glad i grew up back then i truly am i miss all the friends i used to hang with honestly. rocket power hey arnold wild thornberries those will always be some of the classics to me
I’m 38 too. I know people say “I didn’t know how good I had it.” I did, I knew how amazing our time was and I can’t explain why. Now, I’m even more nostalgic for it. I wish I could go back and relive the 90s and 2000s.
Every generation has its own nostalgia. That seemingly only their generation can understand or generations attached to theirs can comprehend, reaching back to the moments and memories that defined their time. It's a beautiful reminder that, no matter the era, everyone cherishes their past in their own way. This is mine. It's a weird bittersweet and happy sad moment. Each and every time we experience it.
You ain't lying this was weekends at my big mama and pawpaws house. Sundays after church my siblings and I eat while watching legends of the hidden temple. Then go outside and turn our jungle gym into legend of the hidden temple. Gottamighty good times
What a time to be alive. Riding bikes 🚴, going to parks 🎉, playing dodgeball and jumping rope, coloring with chalk on the sidewalks , watching cartoons on a Saturday with a cereal bowl full of fruit loops and milk. What a time to be ALIVE! These electronics destroyed the new kids 😢
Dont be like that, we had plenty of electronics as kids also that kept our attention. We are the generation who carried our gameboys and tamogachis with us everywhere, and played the demo consols at walmart and mcdonalds everychance we got for as long as we could. Dont even get me started on how quickly we changed when we all got our first cellphones, Ipods. Just because we went outside more, doesnt at all mean that we didnt also spend entire weekends inside glued to the tv screen.
To all my brothers and sisters that are in their 30s like I am. Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened. Now im here watching this on a phone 😮
Wow… This Rugrats episode, I remember being obsessed with it when I was a kid. I think I watched a recording on VHS over and over. Something about the lights and animation enamored me, and I think it may be why I love vacations and traveling so much today! I don’t think I’ve seen it since I was around 6-7 years old.. it’s such a nostalgia bomb! Thank you for uploading this!
This randomly popped up on my recommended today on my 30th birthday (today) and god damn, the nostalgia is going crazy. How things have changed. Some for better, some for worse. Life has been one hell of a journey so far. But i'm glad i was able to watch this today. :')
Born in 93, sitting alone in my studio apartment while my GF is at work tearing up because of the nostalgia on this beautiful sunny day, well done and thank you sir! 🥲🫡❤
Omg I can’t believe we’re all at the end of our 20’s and up now So much has happened. Seeing this really is bittersweet. Before life got real…. And ugly.
Umm nobody who is currently still In their 20s can vividly remember this era of nick the same way somebody who is in their mid-late 30s can. I'm 37 now and I was about 10 yrs old last time nick was on this schedule so that would mean somebody who is 29 today would have only been 2 yr olds or maybe jus born. Just shows how fast time flies
I’m 39 years old, and I’m watching this with tears of joy. It takes me back to a simpler, happier time in my childhood. Even though my family didn’t have much or do anything particularly exciting, these shows were enough to bring me joy. Classics like Rugrats, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Hey Arnold!, and my all-time favorite, Rocko’s Modern Life, still hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for bringing back those cherished memories.
I grew up without this. Poverty meant my parents couldn’t afford the $35 cable and phone bill every month. I’m missing out on the nostalgia you all are feeling and that makes me sad.
We didn't know it then...but we were living in the best times weren't we? Before fucking smart phones, before social media, before 9/11, before all this political turmoil, before the 2008 financial collapse, before so many terrible things...life was just good.
@@MasDouccurrently working for one of the world’s most prestigious financial institutions.. the stress I currently have makes me reminisce. Sounds like you have growing up to do yourself.
@@MasDouccute. I can tell by the way you don’t know the difference between a financial institution and a bank is funny. I handle investment accounts. People like you make me laugh
@dirtmcgirt1283 Works investments for a supposed high profile "institution of finance" aka bank and yet has no ability to use proper capitalization or punctuation (an ellipses has three dots ya dingus). You type like a child and nobody is impressed with your fanfic. It's sad, get a job and stop pretending you have one, kid.
I’m 29. Born in February 95. I remember all this like it was literally yesterday. I’m the youngest of 4 so I remember all my siblings and cousins watching kaBlam! & Legends of the Hidden Temple. At night time after the cartoons would go off The Brady Bunch would come on. That had to be somewhere around 97 or 98. This doesn’t feel like nostalgia to me because I remember these shows basically word for word. That’s until I see the sidebars on the screen🤯. I’m like “man why isn’t it full screen?” That’s because it was BOX TVs back then!!! That’s when it all hit me like a left hook and a switch kick from Poatan like he did Jiri this past Saturday at 303! Time flew by dude, it really has. In a blink of an eye. I’m a Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network guy. Didn’t care for Disney because it was to kiddish for me. Outside of the show “Gargoyles”. I remember USA cartoons, WB cartoons with Animaniacs, Pinky & The Brain, Freakazoid! My show was Rocket Power! As soon as it came on I said “Aw this the new ones.” That was in 99 🤯. Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, Rocko, Wild Thornberrys, Rugrats Go Wild!, Jimmy Timmy Power Hour, Little Bear/Franklin/Bob The Builder/Dora (Nick Jr), CatDog (didn’t really care for it but watched it. Loved the theme song lol) As Told By Ginger (I’m a dude and felt it was a girl show so I didn’t watch it, but I watched and listened to that theme song every time it came on!) Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Show, Drake & Josh, Ned’s Declassified School Survivor Guide, Invader Zim, Danny Phantom, Jimmy Neutron etc etc. We had it good man. Nowadays these children don’t even know what Saturday morning cartoons is. A block of cartoons on a bunch of networks at the same time. Just pick ya poison and find out which fits you and run with it lol. 🍵🧘🏽♂️🌅🍃🌊🏄🏽♂️☮️❤️🤙🏽
Im a February girly born in 95 as well... we are getting old! I don't have kids yet but I fear that they will not be able to experience a kind of bliss that we did as children.
This might be one of the most amazing ideas for a RU-vid video I've seen in a long time. Absolutely wonderful, I'll treasure it as a helping me sleep kind of video. Thank you!
My kids will now enjoy my childhood shows without me having to scramble through RU-vid’s millions of recommendations to play throwback cartoons. Thank you! This is awesome! 🤝
The memories are still so raw as of it was just yesterday. Time just fkn skyrocketed out of no where..even these last 4 years felt like we skipped from 2020 to 2024..it's unreal..Let this be a lesson to live and cherish the little things
Wow.. i didnt expect to cry watching this. It’s a good feeling though. Thank you. 😊 what a trip. I wish kids today could experience this. Maybe they would be kids a little while longer.
Back when Nickelodeon had variety. These days, it's all about SpongeBob and The Loud House, both of which even takes up much of TeenNick's schedule now.
@@stella-ov4td I think streaming services contribute to this. Granted, scheduling wasn't very good on Viacom networks for years prior to Paramount+, but it's only gotten worse since then. No wonder cable is slowly dying. If you want people to choose cable over streaming, then give us some good scheduling. More channels could take cues from Boomerang, which has returned to its original purpose in the past year.
35 years old and i can’t lie I still be watching these from time to time and watch the shows with my kids so they know what good television was like lol
I can see why a lot of older people then seemed really chill, everyone was getting high, watching cartoons! This seriously brings me back to being a kid, only difference is that I'm high as a kite and just reliving the dream, lol.
I think part of healing the inner child, at least mine, is gonna involve having found this channel. Thank you for showing the good old days. Little me is gonna be so happy tomorrow morning.
Back when the good shows only came on at particular times.. the rest of the time, when not in school; playing outside, making friends, locating said friends 😂, and riding bikes
Anyone else see the intro to rocket power and think “oh that’s the newer intro, this is a later episode” and then check the broadcast date to see 1999 😳😫 nothing had ever made me feel so old
I always recognise the newer intro and it’s hard to wrap my head around 1999 being so far ago. I was 8 years old it just seemed like a different world back then
