Only issue I got about the game (which isn’t part of the game itself) is that the physical copy is a code instead. Why do companies do that? It’s totally false advertising. EDIT: I think it’s just the switch version that has the code-only “physical” copy. Still extremely disappointing.
1:27 Fun fact: According to the NASB Wiki, the thing Zim uses here (which you can briefly see) is actually the Plunger of Doom, his weapon in Nicktoons: Globs of Doom. Huge props to Ludosity and Fair Play for that insane reference
This was the character that i was looking for sooo long, finally it's here and his moveset, model and everything on him is faithful to not only his show but his movie as well, best character!
More importantly than anything, the creative overhaul to make characters like Zim not look freaking horrifying in 3D (like they did in the first game) is the most absolute welcome addition Insane how they actually made him work visually this time
FINALLY! Zim had a solid foundation as a setplay zoner in the first game, but his moveset overall felt very unfinished, which was just a common issue in the first game. This game finally does justice to him by giving him more gadgets to throw around and not only make his zoning even better, but also make him a lot more aggressive, which is honestly what Zim was missing the most beforehand. While I'll miss the old Gnomes, the upgraded Gir and the slow explosion (which is from one of my favorite episodes) are all fantastic additions. I can't wait to play him next week! Addendum: I also like that the Irken Armada theme is a lot more industrial than last game, fits the show's soundtrack better.
Okay this completely sold me. I wanted Zim to be my main in the last game but I just couldn't fully vibe with him. You guys have perfected him in this one. He looks so fun to play and all the references make me so damn happy. Terrific work!
Zim has got to be the biggest improvement side by side with the first game. I don't even remember if the legs always stayed out in the first game but I love the way they do here.
Zim was easily my favorite character in the first game, I can't wait to see how he is in this game. The new things that have been added to his moveset looks nice.
I know we had a lot of cuts, and I understand the disappointment at so many of them. However, I think that, considering how much work went into the veterans, I think it was worth it. I hope that the next Smash does something similar

Looks like the diagonal laser into the air resembles that solar beam for Ivysaur in that Smash mod I saw in videos on the platform. Though all things aside, Zim looks top tier or at least B tier.
It's a shame that GIR got tied to one of Zim's special attacks again. I would have liked to have seen GIR become a fully playable character separate from Zim, like he is in the Nickelodeon Kart Racers games. In fact, if I remember correctly, GIR was a playable character in both the console and DS versions of Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots while Zim himself was exclusive to the DS version of the game. Ah well, fingers crossed that either Dib or Gaz eventually make it into the game as DLC if they release a second season pass like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate did. And hey, at least Zim doesn't have that permanent squinty eye this time! That just leaves Korra left!
having gir closely follow your command sorely misunderstands the character. If this was REALLY gir, it would be a cpu that runs around the stage randomly and dances on its own
I really wish Nickelodeon would do more with zim and gir other than selling a load of merch and using him as a fighter bring the series back it would work even better now with smartphones and other tech
They keep referring to him as "Small" but the leaks have shown that his wide-ass legs have hurtboxes. This is Mewtwo's tail all over again. That makes him extremely wide, which is what matters, not height. So he's gonna be super lightweight, moderately fast, and way too wide for his own good.
Every character including, Zim are all a big step up of 3D models. Compared the original game to this 2nd game, the 2nd game is much better! I’m excited to play as, Danny Phantom! He was my main in the first game & he will be my main in this game! Including Plankton & maybe Squidward.
Yeah, the graphical improvement in this game is huge. That happens whe you give good devs the budget they need to work. The three characters I'm most excited to play are Donatello, Azula and Jenny. But I'm also very interested how Iroh will play.
I think I have noticed a glitch with Zim and Jimmy if you play them just in the story mode and if Gir dies Zim looses a life so try so trying to play as Zim in story mode is extremely hard I just hope they fix this glitch because I wanted to play the story with Zim but it really hard without Gir Edit: luckily they fixed this in the new patch
