The lack of budget is apparent, but it feels to me like the devs really did try, and that shows, at least to me. It's got enough strengths competitively to keep me invested, but ngl I do hope they add some stuff, and that a potential sequel adds a lot more polish

The problem in this game is indeed the low budget for it, but with the great income from dedicated fans i believe that in future patches the game will look a lot more fresh and playable. With the addition of new gamemodes, items, voicelines and characters. In fact the developers announced that they are working on voicelines and new additions to the game. The story here is the same as street fighter V, the game on release had no arcade mode, bad network and a small variety of characters, but in time Capcom added an arcade mode, new characters and better redeeming qualities. In addition, the dlc's might be either free or available with ingame currency.

i legitimately find the movement much more fun in this game than ultimate, and i think that’s what the devs are going for. it’s clear they had to make so many hard decisions due to a lack of budget, but i think it was really smart of the devs to invest most of their resources into the gameplay.

The developers already said they would fix a lot of the things you said. The new update already got rid of the sandy infinite.. people also have to remember that nicolodeon gave them an EXTREMELY low budget. And the point of the game IS for it to be fast. People always mentions the “cons” but never mention what can be fixed.

That reference to Mario movie was funny, I can tell you put a lot of work into your videos because of your script and your AMAZING editing. Keep it up dude!

The game is super janky, and while not justifiable, it sort of adds to the charm of the game in its own way. So far my favorite character is Reptar, and I can see myself playing this game for a long time.

I already knew what I was expecting coming into this game, but I also know that given more time and budget, the developers will certainly improve the game later on

I think the reason why they made most of aang’s moves with his staff are because they wanted to use the bending for korra

I totally agree, After playing a lot of it, it needs that sakurai touch. We really dont notice how much sakurai represents each character, because all these characters feel the same and bland. It just needs visual clarity

I agree with everything except for calling it just a smash clone. It’s obviously inspired by smash but it’s extremely close-minded to call a game a copy just because it’s the same genre.

What I think is funny is that nickelodeon characters are in a bunch of fighting games already. TMNT makes appearances in Injustice 2 and crossover skins in Brawlhalla (which btw I think Macro should check out) and power rangers have their own fighting game.

Personally my only gripe is that it feels SUPER unfinished, so hopefully they can fix that with updates and dlc

I’m going to pay for this, I know it’s far form perfect but I want to see more of this, Idk maybe in the future they release a sequel in which they fix some of these issues

On an interview with Hungrybox (look it up if you want) the community devs revealed Nickelodeon didn’t believe in the project, an example on this being the voice acting (also that some voice actors are dead so there’s that too).

Macro videos are so well put together man

I honestly hate that all characters have such little startup because in gameplay this makes reads and punishes unsafe, you tend to stay away from the opponent all the time just so you don't get 0-to-death'd. I'm aware this is just the launch version but from what I can tell, the entire community loves this, which is worrying.

The game may be janky, but this certanly feel like the start of something that could be great; the devs already said they plan to give post launch support for the game, so let's see how that turns out.

I personally really enjoy this game! I completely agree with you, Macro but I would have to put this game at a 7.5/10. And my favorite character to play is Mikey.

2:52 same. I grew up with Nick in Early to mid 2000s so there's only a few characters I didn't recognize. (Oblina, Lincoln Loud.) Well I'm glad they have different generation of shows so that everyone can have fun.

I agree with everything but I still think it’s too early to judge this game, there are so many choices for DLC and the devs on this game entirely intend to keep updating it and making it better so I still have High hopes… maybe it can make a battlefront comeback we just have to wait and see.

As a person who unfortunately didn't get to watch lots of these shows cuz I was obsessed with other cartoons, like Adventure Time, and just didn't get stuff like Rugrats and Catdog where I live, this game's flaws REALLY show. It's unfortunate that this game couldn't live up to the hype it may have had.

When I first watched videos and saw how much hype was for the game, I thought it was gonna be way better than smash. When it came out, I didn’t buy it but I saw so many people just focusing on the good parts and not highlighting the cons at all. Great job highlighting the cons and it really gives people a good perspective of what the game actually is.
