My Nicks builder pros are 1964 brown. Expect yours to darken up a bit when you first treat them, but this leather will retain that cool orangey color, just darker. 1964 rough out turns dark brown upon treating. But your cool boots don’t have any rough out. I like that moc toe. You made great choices. Thanks for the video.
I've got 2 different boots by Nicks so far and they are great. Yes a bit of a break in and if you have a sore spot try and work that leather in that spot with your hands which helps soften it. Your golden retriever looks to be a senior , mine turned 13 a couple weeks ago and still doing OK.👍

I’ve had my 6” moc toes for about 18mos. The break-in period is no joke, but I wear them while mowing my 1/3 acre property which helped them soften and form. Well worth the money.
Man, mine don't go on anywhere near that easy. I have 6" Travelers in Bison (Carl Murowski collaboration). I wear a 9D in Merrils and New Balance, 8.5D in Nicks, Luchese, Tony Lama, etc. In hindsight, I probably should have picked an 8" boot just for the additional ankle support. The Builder Pros look awesome. Wore Red Wings for years until they discontinued the boot I wore. Tried different models and they were terrible. Nick's a worth the $s...

Because your feet are different, did you have them build the (R) boot to suit your foots actual size? Like a Wide (R) and a normal (L), or did they just happen to fit your foot well enough that it was naturally comfortable? I have a similar problem with my Right Foot, it's a half size smaller than my left. Nick's Boot's does build "mis-match" sets, and that's the route I'm taking. Thanks for the video.

Ok, I’ve been looking at these for over a year now. I work as a road laborer, so I’ll do anything from pouring concrete on my knees with the toe rubbing the concrete to hot asphalt work that destroys boot soles. I thrash thorogood Moc toe boots! They barely last a year, that includes the leather and crepe sole. Will these Nicks last 3 times longer? I could care less about comfort, I want my moneys worth
All valid questions, in my opinion I simply think it’s the construction of the boot. The crepe sole, is a crepe soles, and I think the conditions that you are in, no crepe sole is going to last long. But from the standpoint of the Nicks, to the quality of leather,thickness of leather the craftsmanship, handmade,attention to detail and also 100% made in the USA. The boots are beautiful, however I am wonder if they make barefoot style boots. For example, zero drop, no arch support, flexible sole with wide toe box. Since switching to barefoot shoes and boots, I cannot go back.
