It's been so long since the skarner rework was announced that in the time between that and release I: entered my last year of highschool, graduated highschool, entered university, got a full time job, quit the full time job, started working as a freelancer, now I'm an animator working on the animation industry, got financial problems, solved those financial problems... AND I HAVEN'T PLAYED THE GAME IN ALMOST 2 YEARS, IT WAS ANNOUNCED WHEN I STILL WAS A SWEATY LEAGUE PLAYER, RIOT???????

What do you mean "they made him a juggernaut now?" He was always a juggernaut. The spires and the last Skarner kit rework was during the juggernaut patch. He was designed to be besides Darius, Garen and Illaoi. Also I am so happy cuz now Skarner Daily on youtube can finally rest!! 🙏

Y'know despite that the kit has it's differences it still somewhat functions the same as old skarner: Passive: is back to the 3 passive hit (long before those crystals at the jungle) Q: throws a projectile to champions but now has extra steps W: mini shockwave that gives shield + does damage now E: increases movespeed but now can go thru walls and slams champions R: Ye olde impale but now grabs 3 champions So what they did was tecncially modernize old skarner just so he deals more damage i love it. I also love his new design, being a mixture of different animals and not just a scorpion, now being a mixture of a scorpion, a crab, a beetle and a bit of a trilobyte. While the short bio could give ppl the impression of a grumpy boomer, think about it this way: skarner is ancient af, he possibly feels what lies outside the jungles. He probably senses the danger and malice of, say, piltovians who come and deforest for what i assume is the new hextech. The ixtalians does not know the true intentions of what outsiders could want there. Skarner quite literally is trying to preserve them from dying. But who knows, tomorrow the full bio will be out and we'll see how things turns out, i just don't believe skarner is just a nagging boomer, we already have volibear for that lol.

Tbh he's always been a juggernaut,if I'm not wrong,he was reworked before in the juggernaut rework right? I like this skarner,as the top lane isn't just ult into tower and he can trade,cc and sustain while also having the ability to survive dives

With all the "% max hp damage" abilities and effects they may as well remove HP numbers and give everyone a % bar.

I still really really like the idea of singing crystals, i hope that they can make a monster champ out of it or maybe make it like a lineage of sera that moved to zaun and piltover back in the early days, and that they came with janna as a protector or something. I dunno im just hoping they can do something with her and keep the singing crystals a part of her. Riot would most likely make a champ to connect to her rather than changing her. Or maybe just be forgotten all together ;-;

honestly hot take: I wouldnt have minded this sudden pricehike on a rework's skins if they had done it in the previous reworks. Like ok this skins NOW qualify for this certain price and if you already own it before the rework good for you you got it for cheaper. This makes sense, it wouldve helped sustainability which encourages more VGUs in the future, AND would not really antagonize those who already love the champ enough to buy the skins for cheap pre-rework (and since they announce a pricehike, maybe the players would rush to get the skins they want early, with rito getting their oh so beloved sudden influx)
