I was so excited to see you did a video so soon!! I like the wren best!! Now I want to switch mine!! 😂🤣 no seriously! I adore all your wips! I want to stitch them all! You’re so inspiring! I hope your packing and moving goes smoothly, moving is stressful! Happy stitching!
Never fear, you do NOT look like sponge bob!!! I vote on the 36 count for HEIOTS. You will LOVE Dyeing To Stitch...it’s a wonderful shop. One more thing, you finish so many samplers...are they framed? I only see one on your wall. Fun video!
Thank you for your video. Lovely seeing all your WIPS, and kitted projects. I think there's enough to keep you calm! I favorite 36ct wren for His Eyes on the Sparrow. Take care, keep calm, and love your new intro music!
Wren is my choice; although both would make a lovely sampler!! Thanks for sharing your WIPS...it's always a pleasure to see them!! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2020!!
Love all your Samplers!! It's so nice of you to make a video especially right now. I agree about the kitting to alleviate stress. I wish I could buy yards and yards of Lakeside! Happy stitching lovely.
Wow! Nicole, I enjoyed seeing all of your WIPS. Your stitching is beautiful. I like the Wren fabric-so pretty. Happy Stitching and I hope you don't stress too much. Pam Miller
What a wonderful video! Your videos are always too short so the longer the better. Loved seeing your wips and kitted samplers. I'm stitching Frances Poole as I'm watching. Love the colors but so tempted by some that you showed. I said I wasn't going to buy any more before I stitch some of what I already have but that's just impossible. Thanks for tempting me yet again. You were the first floss tuber that I watched...you had me at sampler!! LOL!! I know it's stressful to start over and move again so I hope your stitching can keep you sane through the stress. I'm moving in April and just the thought of starting to pack is making me crazy. And I'm only moving 30 minutes away! Oh and I loved the wren for His Eye Is On The Sparrow.
Thanks for the parade! Loved them all, I have been searching for the BBD (#2) serious envy. I would go with wren for His Eye is on the Sparrow, it looks so beautiful. You have enabled me to switch up my line up to reproduction samplers with Anniversaries of the Heart as my exception as well. You are one of the 1st Flosstubers I found an I have so admired your stitching and your taste. How many hours on average do you stitch a week? You seem to fly through the stitching, we were talking at church today about the meditative quality of stitching and knitting/crochet. It really is a great stress reliever. All the best to you and your family on this new adventure, sadly I don’t think it will bring you to Cincinnati ☹️ would love to stitch with you in person sometime.
Hi Nicole, great video. My Saturday's are super fun with you and Saltbox Stitcher come out the same day. I like Wren not because you have more stitched on it because of the color tones in the fabric . Legacy is a stronger modeling fabric and the color doesn't fit sampler. "do I make sense" Thanks
The 36 count wren is BEAUTIFUL!! 😍😍Instead of putting it in timeout, start in a different section of the pattern! Please don’t stop working on it, it’s luscious!
Congratulations on the life change...best wishes on the move...my son was a junior in high school and he loved his new school...he still lives here...Charlottesville VA has many DC commuters living here via the Amtrak train...we loved the area so much we retired here...so nice to see all your treasured projects...love your glasses...they are certainly not Sponge Bob Square Pants’ glasses...and the fabric choice has to be Wren...The fabrics on RU-vid show no apparent difference...but it’s your choice and your beautiful stitching that counts...best wishes and happy stitching ❣️
The Wren makes the thread colors pop a bit more than the Legacy to my eye. Your stitching is beautiful and whatever you choose will be lovely. Thank goodness for stitching indeed! Stitching has always been a haven for me when the rest of life was chaotic.
Thank you so much for sharing! I have said that I was not interested in doing samplers.... and then I started watching your videos last year. Well... I now have some in my WHIP pile!!! Lol!!! You have such beautiful ones and I love your work!!!!
Wow - you have the most amazing selection of projects!! Thank you so much for sharing them with us :) I am so happy you have decided to finish the Anniversaries of the Heart ? beautiful! About His Eye - have you thought of having a piece of fabric being dyed to get the exact look you want? I know, run for the hills - crazy idea! Love both fabrics you're already using :) Will be keeping you and your family in my prayers for a smooth transition in moving!
Why add to the stress in your life. The stitching on wren looks lovely. When the pattern is finished the color of the cloth will not really make that much difference. In fact, the colors of the cloth look very similar.
I love, love, love all of your WIPS & future projects. I would pick Wren for His Eye On The Sparrow, it looks so pretty. I have to ask, just wondering......................Why do you stitch from the bottom up, & what advantage is their to stitching that way/ I see several people do this & am just wondering. Marilyn
Enjoyed the WIP parade. So cute “ I love this one, this one is so pretty” famous words we say about all our favorites, lol! Happy stitching! Pull Sparrow out and finish it on the color that you have gone all the stitching at the bottom. It is my favorite finish. Cannot wait for the companion to come out.
So many beautiful WIPs and kits, Nicole! I am also getting back to His Eye is on the Sparrow, mine has been hibernating for years. I started when it first came out, stitched the entire border, got to the end, and realized I was 1 stitch off. I debated whether to fix it or fudge it, and the perfectionist in me is making me fix it before I get any further. I *think* mine is on PTP Wren, and I love it. So, I would vote for you to continue with Wren. If you should end up moving to the DC area, you will need to join the Loudoun Sampler Guild, which I belong to. You would love it, and we would love to have you!
I love it on the wren but that might be because you have SO much done but the colors on the wren totally pop. Another thing I always do when I work on quilting and am undecided about a fabric is to take an picture of it and it always helps me ‘see’ what my eyes don’t if that makes sense. It’s like I can totally see that color is off in some way. But the colors really pop on the wren. Of course your stitching and colors are just delicious anyway, so either way you can’t go wrong. I love your samplers and love that you decided to mostly work on what you love. I found that when I decided to do that, my work was just so much more joyful (and I won a bunch of ribbons as a result).
I like the wren and am going to start mine as well on it.Thank you for showing all your wips.I was an army kid growing up and moved all over.I pray where ever you move it be near great stitchy friends.
It depends, sometimes I buy for a specific project and sometimes I just buy it to have it. I usually just get a fat quarter, but lately I've been getting fat halves because of all the huge samplers I'm wanting to do. :)
Beautiful pieces as always. I loved seeing you put on your glasses and readers. I do the same thing. So funny. My husband and son laugh at me when I do. We have a friend who I have seen wearing at least 3 different pairs of glasses to see depending on if he needs near or far. :-) Do what works so we can stitch. On another note, I love the wren and you have completed more of the sampler. Have a great weekend. Thanks for sharing!
I’m a new subscriber and I will definitely be back! I totally enjoyed your video and all your beautiful wips and “kitted ups” You have some stressful days ahead, just try and take a little time every day to relax, breathe and best of all stitch 😍 I just know you’ll eventually get all settled and everything will finally fall into place ❤️ A big hug to you. See you next time
Great video as always. I want his eye is on the sparrow also it is a great project. I think the Wren looks better not because the amount you have done but because it looks richer more vibrant. The legacy is not showing as well but do what you like.
I’m a military spouse and my husband is now retired, we have been in this location the longest and I actually miss moving (never thought I’d feel that way) No need to stress though there will be good things where you are going and maybe great LNS in your new area. My vote is for Wren.
I like His Eye is On the Sparrow a bit better on Wren, although it would look fabulous on either fabric. But since you are so much further on Wren - go for it. I also highly recommend you stop at Dyeing to Stitch on your way to DC. It's not that far off the freeway and the shop is wonderful. Ann, Pat and Robin are so nice and very helpful - you'll love it!
Hi Nicole - love Legacy but keep being drawn to the warmth of the 36 ct Wren...just to add another cook to the broth! Thank you for answering about silks, and thank you for all the lovely inspiration! Ps. I really like your new glasses. 🤓
I think my Sparrow is on Legacy. It was before I was writing down what my linen is. I didn't want the yellower toned linens when I was looking....so my vote is LEGACY but maybe you should go for the one you bought back since you did make the effort to go through some hoops to do that...... :)
The work you’ve done on the the 36 count wren is gorgeous!!! They are both going to be beautiful but I’d pick the wren. Thank you for sharing! Happy stitching!
Hi Nicole! I always enjoy your video's...your projects are stunning! I like His Eye on the Sparrow on the Wren fabric. That project and so many more of yours are sooooo over my ability level. I appreciate the time it takes for you to share your love of stitching with us. Thanks!
I really enjoyed looking at all your WIPs. I just love samplers and hope to do more in the future. Does Country Sampler allow you to reveal the thread conversion for Jane Stanwix? Love, love, love the colors. Thanks for the video.
that is a difficult question... I don’t know if you could call it copy-righted, but I believe there is an understanding that if you want the conversion, you should get it from the shop. I know Attic Needlework and Shepherd’s Bush also do this. They usually don’t want people sharing their conversion unfortunately.
Hi hun. I feel for u. Moving is so stressful. Will b OK in the end. I loved seeing all yr samplers. Beautiful. Have a fabulous week, take care n catch ubagasin soon. Xx
Hi Nicole! As always, all of your works are beautiful! I like your new glasses-I was fixating on them since the video began! Gonna keep the shape in mind for next year! 😉Just wanted to say, IF you decide to go to DTS... I’d love to meet you there! I’m a longtime fan of yours from FT, and we used to chat via blogging back in the day! 👍🏻 You can message me if you go... it’s ten minutes away! 😉
Hi Nicole!!!!! I sat down to stitch and binge your last 3 or 4 videos. I ended up not making a stitch for fear I would miss something important, 😂😂😂!!! Our stashes are almost the same. I almost bought Ann Wright but didn’t so I will have to watch how your stitched sampler turns out. Amazing stitching as always!!!
I really enjoy your videos! Thank you so much for sharing your craft and creativity with the world. You often enable to me to purchase and I LOVE it. I really like His Eye is On the Sparrow on the legacy.
Nicole, love your videos . I sit and watch and stitch. I was wondering how you sign up for give always . Keep up the good work. You and I have very similar taste in colors and love samplers. I’m putting my first stitches in Isabella Uffindell today. Feverishly working on Istitch burgundy band sampler. Love it and when I finish a weeks part, I feel like I’ve accomplished something. Keep up the good work. Stay safe. Xo
First time viewer; will have to catch up on your previous videos but you made a lightbulb go off in my head today saying how when you are stressed you start a lot of projects; that's exactly how my stress manifests itself also! Now I know why I had so many starts the beginning of the year, right after the holidays! Enjoy your video as I, too,, am a sampler stitcher.
I loved the longer video, you are such an inspiration to me. I am familiar with most of the samplers you showed but Ann Wright was new to me, and I think I am going to buy her. I have learned so much from you, especially about linen colors. I understand how much stress your move and uncertain future can be, but at least you are channeling it in a good way!
thank you for taking the time to do such an informative and fun video! I loved it. Best of luck with the upcoming transition. I'm so glad you have your stitching to turn to.
Oh Nicole, your work is just beautiful. I love His Eye on the Wren...really love it. I have a brain block when it comes to starting in the bottom right, it terrifies me but I want to try so bad! You would think a start would be a start. I know you will miss your group of friends but just think of all of us that will be going with you, lol.. love your new glasses, they look great.
Nicole, you made me laugh so hard at the part where you showed image of sponge Bob....lol. you must know how lovely you look with your new glasses. As always, u are my inspiration and please stay healthy and happy. Xoxo
Nicole, everything in this video is just beautiful! Your Jane Stanwix looks amazing, and I’m so excited to see you have started Rose Wreath ❤️ I also love everything in your bins of started and kitted projects xx reecie
I spent too much time stressing over floss colors for Sparrow... having finished it, I can say it will be absolutely stunning no matter which you choose. Personally, whatever size fabric you prefer to stitch on is the fabric I'd put it on. Just commit and go and have faith that it's going to work out beautifully in the end. If you get to do to Dyeing to Stitch you should also check out Haus Tirol in Williamsburg. I much prefer D2S, but if you're in the area, it's worth a stop.
