Damn... I'm 57 years old and mostly listen to songs from back in the day. But heard this yesterday and I can't stop listening, serious serious talent!!!!
Has it really been five years since I first heard this underrated work of art? It still gives me goosebumps and chills. Everyone should ride the Nicole Bus to R&B heaven.
It is an old school song by the Charmels from 1969. I'm no music scholar but when I was reading about her she was straight up and saying the song came from the Charmels in 1969 and that alone tells you a lot about this woman to mention the original people, kudos to her, love her honesty.
Track is striaght fire. Home girl sounds like lauryn hill mixed with keisha cole. Young lady made a name for herself with this track right here... wu tang should be proud
This song was played on Hot 97 "New at 2" and I almost crashed while driving trying to figure out who sung it lol. I finally found out Nicole Bus did this dope song. Everytime the beat drops, I make the ugliest face ever lol. This is screaming for a Lauren Hil, Method Man, and Jasmine Sullivan remix.
BABY BABY BABY THIS SONG FIRE 😫🔥🔥Loll I KNOW Im not the only one thinking about their bae listening to this 😍lol Even if you dont have a baby you thinking about SOMEONE lol😂🤗😍😍
Mane she killed this. Hands down she nice .like a mixture of lauryn hill jasmeine sullivan and melanie fiona. The beats are sick. Definitely on repeat💯💯
Loving the lyrics speaking powerful soul and the strength of a Man Who protects and cherish His Woman. We don't hear music like this anymore its such an amazing feeling. Congrats Black Queen 👑
2023 well done Nicole please don’t stop singing you have a beautiful voice sweetie I’m a fan of your beautiful music GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@Chocolatebuttacupoet Not as much as The Charmels. Without The Charmels, there would be no “CREAM.” Put some respect on their name. Edit: but 100% respect to RZA.
This is so great on how music can always be relevant and the old one will always be relived through the new. Shout out for the Charmells creating the song, Wu Tang for sampling it and Nicole Bus for revitalizing it on her single.
isaace hayes & david porter pon de writing credit tho --- thinking the actual charmels had nothing much to do with it, aside from singing some incredible notes. all respect due.
Oh my goodness, your voice is off the chain. Dont you let this current storm COVID 19 in the world discourage you. Keep your lyrics clean and allow God to use you to bring joy and happiness. We dont need anymore cheating and or sorrow songs. Bring back joy and hope again with your voice and your future will always be blessed. God Bless you ❤
"And I love the way you love me. Like Kanye loves Kanye" LOL not only a great singer with an amazing instrumental but with some humor added in. I also love all the references to characters and celebrities. Very cool.
I kept hearing this song like once a week for the past 3 weeks and found out that the radio played it with one dj on Fridays. I looked high and low for this song thinking it was Lauryn Hill or Teyana Taylor. My son found it for me that musical genius. I have it on my playlist now. I am so in love with this song!!!!!
I spent WEEKS looking for this song after hearing it on the radio...typed everything possible. Finally Shazamed it the last time I heard it and here I am..FINALLY. God is good!
