▸ According to the chronicles of the pastor from Trzęsacz, Niechorze could have existed already around 1180. The beginning of Niechorze's existence dates back to the 14th century. From the beginning, the village was divided into two parts, ie Duże Niechorze, which was a peasant village, and Małe Niechorze, which was a fishing village. Małe Niechorze could not expand due to the restriction on the one hand by the canal and on the other hand by the lands belonging to Duży Niechorze. Due to the access to the sea, Małe Niechorze was called a bathing beach in 1868. Tourists eagerly visited Małe Niechorze. The town became so popular that holidaymakers had to rent accommodation in Duży Niechorze. The villages were joined on April 1, 1913 and were given the name Niechorze.
There is an extensive accommodation base in Niechorze. Tourists can choose from apartments, hotels, SPA centers, guesthouses, guest houses, private rooms, campsites and summer houses. Everyone who wants to do shopping in Niechorze has many grocery stores, shops with clothes, shoes and toys at their disposal. There are also many souvenir shops here. In Niechorze you can buy newspapers and cosmetics. Book fairs take place during the summer holidays. There are many ice cream parlors, restaurants, fish bars and pizzerias. Beer gardens, pubs and discos are available. Children like to use machines with mascots, balls and rockers.
In Niechorze there is a beautiful, sandy beach, 4 km long and 60 m wide. There are 12 descents to the beach. On the beach, three concrete piers have been built, which run deep into the sea and their task is to break the sea waves.
On the beach, close to ul. Pocztowa has a fishing harbor. The boats of the fishermen from Niechorze on the side are marked "NO". Tourists very often take commemorative photos against them.
In Niechorze there is Liwia Łuża lake, which is connected with the sea by the Liwka Channel, which cuts the beach. During storms, the water movement causes periodic salinity of the lake's water. The area of the lake is located in the ornithological reserve "Jezioro Liwia Łuża", which was established in 1959. The reason for establishing the reserve was the large breeding population of the mute swan, which was rare at that time.
Tourists who come to Niechorze to spend their holidays actively should not be bored here. There are three tourist routes in Niechorze. The Sea Fishing Trail is 4.2 km long. The trail starts at the PKS bus station in Niechorze and ends at ul. Leśna at the Narrow-Gauge Coastal Railway Station in Pogorzelica. Following this trail, you pass the Sea Fisheries Museum, the Liwka canal, and the sculptures of the family on bicycles. The Liwia Łuża Lake trail is 8.8 km long. The Trail of the History of Niechorze is 2 km long. The trail runs along the streets of Niechorze. Following this route, you pass the Seaside Narrow-Gauge Railway, a historic peasant farm and the Lighthouse. Tourists who have not taken their bike on holiday can use the Rewal Bike System. This system allows you to rent a bike at one point and return it to another. Bike rentals are located in Niechorze, Rewal and Pobierowo.
