I love how he started attacking adam in a more reckless/aggressive way the moment adam showed that he'd taken 9S. Really looks like 2B is extremely pissed all of a sudden.
Exactly this! When the music kicked in after he showed 9S, something in im snapped, I changed from my usual defensive playstyle to aggressive and I wasn't as insecure about the controls anymore, too. This battle was really fun actually, I want to fight Adam again.
@@rinaanir4723 Same… I just beat him, and my hands had gotten all sweaty lol… Didn’t notice how “into it” I was until after the fight when I took a deep breath.
You know, that's a pretty reasonable conclusion to come to given the circumstances. Fiction can't function without conflict, it needs conflict to exist. Real humans are more complicated, but in the absence of any real humans to learn from, our stories are all Adam would have access to.
I got ending E this morning. This is probably my favourite boss in the game. Adam is just so smug you have to love him. Even when he dies he takes it pretty well.
@capy sorry if I sounded mean, I can see why you like him. His shirt is cool I guess. But during the battle, he says he wants to dissect and perform experiments on the humans to “find their secrets” many issues with this, including this battle. 1. What secrets? Can’t you just… ask the normal people? Not the politicians or whatever? 2. That’s just creepy!! Isn’t that what the governments tried to do in World War 2? I think Japan and Germany did this… creepy. 3. He’s torturing 9S for no reason! Why?! 4. He’s forcing his poor brother into this! He probably never wanted to hurt the humans at all! And there’s more, but that’s all I list
i noticed his facial expressions are strange, but maybe it's just because he's a machine trying to emulate and understand humanity so it'd make sense that they're not quite right.
I find Adam's psychology very interesting, because he is absolutely right and wrong at the same time. Let me explain myself. He is right in the sense that, indeed, humanity had to start conflicts to solve its problems, and by conflict, it could mean both murder or world war. Why does conflict exist ? Because humans are differents, they have goals that can sometimes enter in conflict with others'. Does that mean that, to achieve our goals, we are forced to fight with others, where only the strongest prevails ? No. No, because Adam lacks something human : empathy. He doesn't understand the fact that humans can achieve their goals by helping each other, by adapting their goals to keep peace with others. Machines cannot comprehend adaptation : for them, you have a goal and you must complete it no matter the cost. Sadly, Adam dies thinking he was right after seeing 2B's reaction while he was torturing 9S, but he didn't understand that 2B's reaction was love and not hate. She didn't wanted to revenge against Adam, she wanted 9S to be safe because she was afraid to lose him another time.
This is something I prepared FOR YOU. yeee if you ever played drakenguard 3 he is very much like zero. there is also a part in DG3 like this. One of the Bosses is a puppet master with these creepy marronetes. And later on when shite hits the fan and the reality of the game is breaking appart to the point where fourth wall breaks are part of the horror. She says something like "Ohhh its YOU again." and all the dead eyed nightmare puppets in the background stop moving and look at the camera for 4 minutes. Dead on never leaveing. just out of site while she talks
Honestly I wish Adam was more difficult. I don't mean do more damage, kill you in one hit kind of bullshit difficulty, I mean make the fight genuinely more challenging. Give him a more varied moveset, speed up his animations so he's not so slow, make him more aggressive. There are so many moments in this battle where he's either just walking at you in a straight line, or flatout idling in one spot. It seems like that can be exploited by making him shield himself, because after the shield goes down he just stands there doing this long recovery animation where he's just taking shots. He also has some Tekken grapple attack that I've seen him do literally _once_ across 6 complete playthroughs.
....All that trouble to try and understand humanity and 'death' and yet, as Ending E pretty much flat out declared... Death ain't shit if you didn't actually die...
@@militisprod.8584 Bad thing is they droped the ball on both the a2 revel AND this. Likely due to licensing problems in this case. His move set is litterly bayonettas. Right down to the animations and frames. They likely could not use it.
@@KeptMellow the person I resurrected just ran into Adam the entire time, somehow I basically 3 shotted the last 2 phases somehow so idk how thats all about, two slices then boom Adam ded
The sad part is that this probably could've been talked out if 9S was able to put his foot down early on. It still probably would've ended in conflict, but they couldve at least have come to an understanding
I wish boss fights were a bit more difficult in that game because at very hard he 1 shot you & at hard with the right chips you can easily beat him & in all difficulty you can kill him rapidly whatever your weakness is. The only thing different is the way the boss attacks or interact with you as example the giant machine that with each difficulty you only have to kill more of his EMP yellow shields. I had WAYYY more difficulty beating the Dojo machine that ask for parts or any golden robots. It took me a good 20-30 mins non stop of attacking to beat them with the notion of one bad movement & it's all over & have to do it again. I LOOOOOVE this game but I wish the difficulty was a bit more ....I don't know..better made I guess.
It was my GOTY in 2017 and is in my top 10 of all time, but yeah I definitely agree. Especially the So-Shi fight later on in the Factory. Such good buildup but it's unbalanced...
yes and this fight is cut likely becouse his move set is a homeage to bayonetta. Im not just saying it references it. Im saying down to the frame data and animations. licensing issues with platinum games likely had something to do with it.
Yeah, I was perplexed because I was waiting for black oil to splash everywhere when I started to play the game on release but due to quarantine and FFXIV since it got raids based on this game I did a rerun and once you pay closer attention to all the lore, basically speaking it makes sense as Adam is enticed and obsessed with humanity to the point he started to mirror everything a human being had both physically, mentally and spiritually. Heck they even fashioned themselves with genitalia as stated from different official sources hence why they started to cover their bodies. Whereas Eve is only interested on physical activities and not in humanity like his older brother. Adam is so in love with the concept humanity that he literally got angry every time he was faced with a concept he couldn't understand and cursed whoever created them for not receiving proper education with the prime example being death. That's why he wanted to experience it as machines are eternal as long as they are connected to the machine network. For him the idea of one mistake, one lethal cut or anything that could end your existence was such and intriguing phenomenon as humans were so scared of that concept he ended up setting the scene in a way he would meet his end and finally understand what's death. To which he actually took it quite well being honest. He is such an incredible concept because I just wonder what could have happened if he wasn't so obsessed with us.
so i hate that the anime had to cut the entire battle out most likely due to licensing. Considering plat games fans may have caught the part where his move set is bayonettas.
