NieR: Automata | Emil‘s Determination & Ending Y

This game destroyed me emotionally, but all the time I couldn't cry. Every time I wanted to, more shocking things happened and I'd go into a shocked/panicked state. This was the last quest I finished and when the Emil's started speaking, when I saw how much pain they've gone through, when the music started playing... When Emil called for his friend's name... I just lost it. I cried for one hour straight, it hurt SO much and I think that's when all the sadness I felt throughout the whole game finally hit. I cried for Emil, for Yorha, for 9S, 2B, and A2. For the operators. For Pascal , the children and adults from the Village. For Adam and Eve. For all the machines that couldn't handle existence. For humanity. For the world. For everything. This game can't be described in a single word or sentence, it goes much beyond that. It changed ,e and shook me to the core. Truly, one of the best experiences I've ever had in my entire life.

This is heartbreaking. In the last Nier Replicant when Emil sacrifices himself, Emil wishes to see everyone one last time and says to himself, "I'm scared to die." But now the only way to see them is to die. ;-;

This is the saddest ending. Emil has lost everything. Yet he kept fighting in his friends memory

I kinda feel bad for Emil after that cave fight especially after he said "i don't mind while feeling sad" He considered you as his new friend and you stole shit from him. i feel like an asshole after that

Watching this after finishing all endings on Replicant just hits differently... When I first played Automata, I didn't really understand the character of Emil and what this sidequest explained. Now that I completed Replicant.... It just breaks my heart...

The million dollar question - did he see Nier and Kaine and Weiss on the other side? Or did he belatedly recognize that 9S, 2B and their support mechanisms were designed based on his old friends? It's no accident the same voice actors are used.

As a fan of the original ending Y really hurt. It seems like Emil was just built to suffer.

So.... Emil is basically the superboss.

There was one ultimate weapon that could have won... *The moose.* (Just a joke) Also I love the old 50's-60's style music Emil plays when you get close to him.

*SPOILER* I was able to beat him only to know that he too will die...

So basically Emil is weak and 2B and 9S are more powerful than the "ultimate weapon"

even if he split his soul into pieces, Emil was actually the last human soul on Earth. that's why he was able to see his friends again in the end.

I have maxed 100% weapons but I cannot get Emil to appear at the shopping mall as A2. I was able to complete this with 2B in my first round of game play, but something is amiss with this second game as I try to attempt with A2.

Already collected all weapons, fought emil for the first time at his home, got emil head, max all weapon, yet I can't find him at the abandon shopping complex. Can someone help? Did I do something wrong? This is my first time doing so, and I really need to achieve ending Y (one of the three endings (aside from D and E) I havent got). I already followed all these, still can't find him.

I have all the weapons at max and i just cant trigger the fight with him lol I'm at chapter 14-05 with A2. Is there something i need to do? I already visited his home to steal the mask with A2 and now he tells me that there was a thief but nothing more.

So, even if you get Y ending, you can redo the quest and complete it, right?

if you accept this quest as either 2B or 9S is it possible to then use chapter select and do it with A2 ?

Guys, I think I really messed up, because I defeated Emil underground and left without collecting the last weapon of the game (Emil's heads), and it isn't there anymore, am I completely screwed or is there still a way to get it?

I Completed "Emil's Determination" quest and didn't let emil self destruct. I then proceeded to overwrite my save data.... Is there any way I can activate the final boss fight again? I have 80+ hrs into Nier and i'm so close to getting the plat trophy.... plz don't wanna start all over again ;-;
