Rowan Atkinson You caught my reaction perfectly. I was apprehensive because I felt there were games made by the same developer that would leave me in the dark but I ran with it, and had a game pull at my heartstring in a long while.
Definitely. It's like with this when you complete it twice. "that's cool but it's not really sad at all yoko." Plays just the start of the 3rd playthrough. "there it is!!"
@@chikipichi5280 20 hours is a very decent amount of time. If it was just ending A & B, alot of the community wouldn't be complaining, instead they would be hyping up a sequal.
28:27 "Developed by Platinum Games" Oh, oh, really? Seriously? Two playthroughs *and then* we see the Opening credits? Alright, boys and girls, the real game starts *here* .

Fikayoz well as A2 said the S-type or scanner type units are high end androids they were only made for scanning and fighting if necessary however because of its inteligence and curiousity its type is not recommended for battle
I feel it is precisely because the 9S models are so high-end and intelligent that they're not suited to be put into many classified, dangerous combative missions for fear that they would discover the juicy details about yohra's true purposes and stuffs they want to keep under the rug (and 9S accomplished exactly that during B route.) It's always the "dumber" ones that are easier to monitor.
lmao true but this 9s unit is the only one who knows how to use weapons. He reprogrammed himself to be able to, thats why he doesn't hold one weapon in his hand like 2b. He just does the telepathy thing.
Taro is getting better. . . .Usually Path's A and B have a large degree of sadness, this time they were specifically made to let your guard down and then WHAM. . . .
I was pretty disheartened to learn that the human race was already extinct the moment the machines attacked. It’s like YoRHa was made for nothing and the entire war is just a depressing victory for the machines from the start
@Raynin Where did you get that machines created yorha? From jackass files who created yorha and machines are seem different. Why would machines think about how inhumane it was to make sacrificial goats with android ai? It seems more like the remainder of android, when aliens came created yorha.
Wait, i thought that androids were watching over Project Gestalt, and they were creating more androids even after it failed. However than the aliens attacked, and androids had very low morale because humans, they were suposed to protect were not around anymore. That's why they created yorha, and moon server, they lied that humans were not extinct after all and this way they increased morale of all androids. They were no longer fighting for humans, but for themselfes.
@@novesspl5061 This is a serious plot hole for me in the game. Why did they need to "increase android morale" at all? The humans are dead. Whatever they do aint gonna bring them back. What was the point for the commander to trick them to fight when there's nothing to gain?
Well... that happened Remember the time when I talked about the other endings bringing out overwhelming levels of despair? I was wrong. We just beginning and I'm losing my head D: Also, Allied YoRHa members: Lvl 20. Said YoRHa members after being infected: Lvl 48
If you do a side quest with Operator 06, she will taunt you during your escape with the Commander. I forget what she says but it goes like, "2-2B, th-thank you...so mUch...for ThE FLOWE...RS!" The detail of what side quests you do and overall story. I love this game.
Wow, I knew things were going to get dark, but I didn't think they'd go dark like THIS. That screen distortion was pretty cool, although I can't imagine actually trying to fight with all that going on was the peak of enjoyment
This was the beginning of the game the whole time!? I'll be honest. I thought we were gonna be the bad guys the way YoRHa was being secretive, but this was just overwhelming... wait. No... NO! STOP! Your ripping my heart out of my chest game! Stop it!!! Nooooooooooo!!!! ;_;
Dude first time i got to this part i fell in the hole leading to where the alien ship was and spent 30mins trying to get up the damm ladder only to reach the top and realize that the virus taking down my jump didnt allow me to get up the pipe.
2B's last mile was just so sad. The music is so quiet and peaceful and gives you this feeling that she is completely on her own now. There are no Operators anymore, no Bunker, the Message from Humans is fake. No one witnesses her last mile, but us.
27:52 - 28:21 Looks as if it's from the view of the audience in a stage play. I really LOVE how the drama visually unfolds in this game. Seeing 2B desperately try to save Commander while being pulled away by 9S was very touching.
Platinum Games and Yoko Taro: Glad you liked the demo. Casual players: Yeah man, that was a lovely- wait, demo? *TRIUMPHANT OPENING CREDITS SEQUENCE* Casual players: WAIT WAIT
If you do her side quest in Route B you learn what she really desires more than anything is a family. With Adam and Eve defeated, and the war seemingly close to being over she probably felt she could actually work on that goal soon with 9S...
0:56 because of what happens on this mission, Yoko Taro has successfully managed to terrify me EVERY TIME they say "glory to mankind" in these suits of armor!!!! D:
Even today I still struggle getting through this scene. I got really attached to 2B. A no nonsense personality covering a softer heart to protect herself. Capable of mowing down armies with elegance and grace. Then seeing her from cutting down her enemies like wheat to struggling to even walk and even having to put her down as a form of mercy breaks my heart.
I know right. Just when your back in the bunker and the virus basically says glory to mankind mocking everyone. I'd love to see yoko taro branch out more and maybe do films or hell even something like this as an anime would be perfect. Like everything yoko does it would be fucking sad though.
Weirdly enough, I've always imagined 9S doing weird and crazy stuff with other scanners. He was an M type originally, and that's sort of what they were known for, so I guess that's why.
[F] to pay respects for 2B. Well... I didn't think 2A would be the real highlight on the true ending. So let's delve deeper and see what's coming. Are you also going to do other optional/alternative endings? Or are these the only ones now so far?
@@yeahx32p69 A bit late but this is the third campaing (and where the game REALLY starts) The others two were just an intro, funny because they are full games each one
Now watching this again I wonder, why does 2 B say that she needs to find a place which is low on android places. All of them are infected, except 9S and A2. And from their bunker, they can see the moon, did they never wonder why it's empty? If humans would have been there, it would not look so empty, I'm sure
I didn't play any Yoko Tato games prior to NieR: Automata. I can pinpoint the moment this game crushed me to this section. All this time, the androids have been fighting and you think it's gonna build up to something, you'd think that after the storm of Eve's death and the loss of the de facto leaders of the machines, there'd be a calm to exploit, that all the cataclysmic battles you've fought would have put a dent in the machine forces. But despite all that, even though every android of YoRHa partook in this offensive, the machines just annihilate them. They defeat you. They hack everything and kill everyone. It wasn't even close, nothing was achieved. Everyone is wiped out and all hope is lost, and you realize that it was folley to ever think that the machines could be defeated. It feels as if you're fighting an utterly unwinnable fight, have always been fighting it. The utter hopelessness of the situation comes crashing down on you as you realize that you are as significant to the machine network as an ant is to a human, that there has never been any chance of victory and that there is nothing to fight for. And worst of all, 2B is dead. 9S could've saved her, but he barely didn't make it in time. And now all that is left is depression. Truly, this game makes you relate to Emil.
Its really strange tht the real game strts after end of yorha ..... some people might hv stopped playing after eve's death ...... i would hv done the same bcz i knew nothing abt all this when i was finishing the game
