I first met Rod Liddle deep in the bowels of the European Parliament back in the 1990s when he was the Editor of the BBC's Today Programme. That remainist central London organisation. Rod Liddle was also a long time member of the Labour Party. Now he is a prolific columnist and controversialist.

@brian elliot Fascists such as the Nazis were socialists, not right wingers - Nazi’s formal moniker - “National Socialist Workers Party” (National SoZialistische Workers Party) SO WHO PUT THE Z IN NAZI, eh? Nazism was the antithesis of a free market philosophy; Nazi economic policies were unequivocally socialist in nature - they purported to support the common good over the private good. They adopted classical socialist mechanisms of i) inflating the money supply and ii) imposing rigid price and wage controls, while continually expanding the quantity of money. The result was too much money buying up all products (and labour), which lead to massive shortages, and hence to rationing. The universal price controls meant the production of anything in the economy was made to expand at the expense of everything else, without any effect on price & profitability, which inevitably made production totally random and chaotic. The Nazi government thus had to assume complete control over what was produced, how it was produced, where it was sent, in what quantity it was produced, which suppliers could be involved, and what methods of production were used. In other words, the government was exercising all of the substantive powers of ownership; it may have appeared that things were privately owned, (say, in a city hall register of who owned which factory) but in reality it was the Nazi government making all of the substantive decisions - in effect, de facto socialism.

The EUs plan all along after we voted to leave was to cause as much chaos as possible and then for a us to have 2nd Referendum and for us to change our mind. This has happened to every Country in the EU that has had a referendum and the result goes against the EUs wish. Ireland had Referendums on different treaties which they voted against. So they kept having Referendums till they voted the EUs way. The same with France and Denmark and when Norway wanted to join the EU. The EUs job was made so much easier as they had a Fifth column working in the UK.

...a " faith column ..." , which received many millions , ( not mine ) , of ' voters' ' endorsements. People need reminding that most have consistently voted , (and by most , I mean our own mothers , fathers , brothers , etc ) , for parties which have without any disguise campaigned against remaining an independent , Nation State ; as all countries have done. Then , it's somebody else's fault. No it isn't ; it's many of Britain's , France's , etc , own people. Take a look at just who's allowed to vote in elections. Under the Romans , there were the Client Kingdoms ; some co-operated , others didn't ; under the Norman's , there was open hostility to the Anglo Saxons ; in France , there was the Vichy regime. This is the only period of history I can think of where most people have so adopted the idea that pleasure and money and personal convenience are the reasons to live , that they can't even conceive of their being this discussion without these concerns being raised. Just one month , one , with the lights out , rationing , and everything else that people were once prepared to endure , and millions would be begging the EU to help us with their nail varnish supply problems. Very few indeed care for the Land more than their own lives , and if you don't , like your Soul , you end by losing it.

Under that scenario he might try to go it alone without a pact with Brexit Party. BoJo will have to blame hard core remainders and Brexiteers for the failure of the deal, and he will lose votes if he cant keep his Get Out By Oct 31 promise.
