This aviation minister behaviour has shown what Peter Obi has been talking about the rascality in government. I don't blame Ethiopia airlines they simply follow order of the minister if there is law n order this will never happen. This is fraud in the highest order all the money gone
That's what they have been doing with Dangote. They won't let others compete with him, anything he goes into, they make sure they withdraw others licence so he can stand alone and thereby making him dominate the market.
You can not start a new airline without explaining to Nigerians what happened to the last one. These people just keep taking Nigerians for a ride. Non functioning refineries. Defunct steel plant. Abandoned factories etc, etc.
Resource control makes people in their regions to be efficient in production and creating jobs in the areas, not siphoning any resource from one area for the betterment of others in another areas. This scheme negates the concept of oneness.
They've privatized our NNPC as well and we have no idea who are the shareholders. They loaned dangote to build a private refinery that'll be buying from as Nigerians and told us that NNPC has shares there and they'll make sure the refinery satisfy Nigerians demand first before exporting to other countries and now NNPC no longer belong to Nigerians . I will never travel with Nigeria air internationally, but may be locally. Because everyone knows that anything Nigeria government dose dose not have proper continuous maintenance and it can be dangerous in the future.

Few points * It takes on average 8 to 9 years to receive an aircraft from order date; if Nigeria orders from Boeing or Airbus the backlog is 8 to 9 years. * leasing companies are reluctant to leasing to countries where there's no reliable and sufficient aircraft MRO. * aircraft manufacturers work in tandem with interests of their biggest customers. For example Delta has a lucrative flights to nigeria, delta doesn't want boeing to sell aircraft to nigeria air that would consequently eat up its marker shares. The same goes with Airbus. That's why most aircraft registered in nigeria currently are 25 years and older and smaller aircrafts. There's a lot of politics in aviation. Ethiopia airlines has been able to circumvent this political pressure from western world and that experience may become handy in helping nigeria air . * Aircrafts are expensive. Boeing 737 costs 100 million$ to 130 million$ Boeing 777 costs between 300 million$ and 360 million$, securing loans and insurance for a new airlines is extremely difficult

Hadi Sirika, the current Minister for Aviation provides us with another demonstration of how to weaken and destroy a country's wealth. Buhari has spent last week boasting of how he was able to run a business (Nigeria) that lost money for 8 years and is now insolvent.. Isn't this pattern too consistent to be incompetence or negligence? I have now come to suspect that this is deliberate destruction.
Anybody listening to this incident must take action to stop this type of serious abuse coming from Ethiopian Airline, Ethiopian judiciary and government. No Nigerian shall use an airline that treat its passengers like this. This man is a saint and this Reality Radio and Television is the greatest station in the world. I have watched American stations like Jerry Springer, but nothing like this. I have used the Ethiopian Airline three times in the past from South London to Enugu, Nigeria. I am going to tell everybody I know not to use this airline again. Yesterday my inbox contained an advertisement giving me and family of 25% offer for my next trip with their airline. What I can't understand is why everyone is surprised to see an Ethiopia registered plane,clearly that's part of the deal. Starting up an airlines is very costly, purchasing a brand new airplane takes years.look at Boeing backlog on average is 8.4 years, thats if you order an aircraft today you will receive it, on average,after 8 years. Yall need to know the industry before yapping.
