Thank you for taking the time to do this. I have a few questions: Where you able to track the passport process online? How did you know when the passport was ready? How long did it take to get the new passport? Did you go on the collection day on your form or did it arrive in the mail?

Thank you for watching. I tried through different means to track my passport but the tracking platforms were not working. Currently, you can't know when your passport is ready except your royal mail tracking number gives the location of your passport in transit. There is a collection date on the biometrics print out slip which is 2 months ahead but rarely will you get your passport on that date. The passport is usually sent via post not physical collection.

How long did it take for your passport to arrive and do you know if we can fast track it on the day to get it earlier than usual?

I haven't received mine as the collection date is in October. It's impossible to fast track it.

Thanks for watching. I don't have a personal experience of lodging in an hotel around the embassy. However, due to the cosmopolitan nature of the city of London, there is high tendency of having a higher cost of hotel within and around the embassy.

Whao, it's really a long time close to 3 months now but I feel you should get it any moment from now. However, if you are close to London you can revisit for them to track with your collection slip.

Family of 4 ...did our biometric on 1st June and the delivery date was 31July . As of today ( 11 of Sept.) we haven't heard any updates at all. Currently there's a backlog as a result. Keep calling someone might pick up the call anytime from 4pm.

No I didn't because it's a passport renewal, but for Fresh application you need to go with birth certificate especially if you are applying for the children.

Yes the old passport will be returned to you when you are done with biometrics.

please did you and every member of your family have the same appointment day. Just asking cos the same appointment date was no longer available when it was my turn. So I'm wondering if I can still join my family to go in

I will say it is safe to join your family for the biometric appointment though not guaranteed because 1 entry ticket is usually given per family but the problem could be that your appointment date is not the same. Anyways, I will suggest you speak to the officials about it immediately when you arrive there so you know your fate. You never can tell, nothing is impossible.

Family application accepted especially the same surname name for the whole family and payment comes from either of the parents.
