Whoa the random throwback to Trickster Online too?? Remember when that was being advertised as "Simply better than maplestory"? I recall several of my friends quitting in anticipation of Trickster coming out... only to end up coming back a few months later.

In my country's long-closed server, Maple Throwing Stars were obtained from Gachapon. I miss those times so much. I played as a Night Lord up to level 164, equipped with a Dexless armor + Black Mamba, hitting 30K damage per hit. 15:26 You need to increase your Mastery level to level 5 in order to upgrade your Booster, and everyone in the Old School era will stop at level 11 because they will receive +2 ATK Speed at this level. Then, gather points to upgrade other skills first.

Disorder actually has a secondary effect that a lot of people forget to mention. It can de-agro enemies, even if the attack doesn't hit. I'm not proud of it, but there were a few times training on Pig Beach where I would coax the Iron Hog into people clogging up the bottom of the map, they would change channels to avoid the hog, and I'd use Disorder a few times to de-agro the hog and get back to grinding.

honestly this is some of the highest quality maplestory content ive seen so far, hats off to you. as a maplestory content creator myself i think i can learn a lot from you. i hope to see a video like this for more of the Beta classes. keep up to great work man!

Thank you so much for putting this much time, care and love into your videos. Every month or so I get an irresistible urge to revisit Maple, so I download a private server, play for a few days and then life gets in the way. It’s like I’m always chasing that same unreachable high of being a kid again when Maple felt so new and we were all experiencing it together for the first time. The only thing that comes close to recapturing that same deep love for the game are your videos, and I can’t quite thank you enough for handling something so special to me with such attention to detail.

Man, you almost made me break my neck when you started going that night lords had Sharp Eyes, i was like "i do NOT remember that!" And man, i hope you cover dragon knights at somepoint. they were THE showoff class but their skill builds were very divided among the community at first. and also another of the classes that had washing as one of their mechanics this was a whole trip down memory lane. excellent video.

Especially when I sip abit of wine beforehand, it just brings me so much comfort after a day of being an adult with a job.

Just finished watching the entire video. Its very cool watching the history of maple cleanly presented. Especially because at the time I was just a kid, and honestly just didn't understand a lot of the game. All vibes no strategy tbh. Its crazy to think that during those times a lot of information was transferred through in game chat. Nowadays you can just look up the most optimal strat on google and find an answer. I miss those times. If they released an old school server it wouldnt be the same because of how social interactions online have become, but im sure it would be a heck of a lot better than anything I play today.

Absolutely love this kind of long-form Maplestory history content. Crazy how nostalgic it makes me feel seeing this stuff, especially as a young Rogue player (Although I picked Bandit because I thought Savage Blow was a cool skill). Hope you continue to do similar videos! Would love to see maybe a follow-up about Big Bang, or even similar OSMS videos about other classes.

Fun fact about the thief job that not many people know. For the global launch of the game they had a closed pre-beta stage before closed-beta. The rouge class was delayed for this launch and only the mage, archer, and warrior class was released.

Thanks. I miss those days. Being in a mmo that’s like its own world populated with its own communities not mostly in their Discord all the time. The game was such an experience. I feel it is only somewhat still is like that in some private servers. I hope an mmo can achieve it one day again. Very nice editing

I have no idea how long this video took to make, but god this guy deserves some creds.

Maple Throwing stars came with maple anniversary. You could get them well opening chest in ludi pq ( not maze the broken glasses one ) Shoes for jump were a really nice alternative to face stompers. You'd scroll Yellow snow shoes to get high levels of dex and then that dex you would replace with luck in your base stats. Having 14-18 dex in ysg was very obtainable. Which compared to about 4 weap attack for luck. Though back then I recall chaos scrolls being much cheaper. You could get from evil eye's but then nobody had mesos

I haven’t played maple story since 2007, so having this show up on my feed is a welcome surprise! I feel like in middle school again.

Hwabi was also dropped from Jr. Balrog before Zombie Mushmom came out. It was needed around 3.4k hp without Hyper Body for Horntail. Drain was also quite an important skill for Hermit, Also Night Lords were the king of Anegos, which used to be one of the fastest ways to level up.

I started playing maple story in 2005 and this is the time I miss, whenever I think of maple I remember this version of maple, where there were tons of night lords everyone wearing zakum helms.

Think only part I really got thinking of a more technical disagreement would be before dexless sins, in ‘06 many high dps sins actually would go for the risky 10% scrolls on Blue or Black Scarabs, until it was over 50att, making it a better option than a likely +5 or +6 mamba with dex. Fun times, made me miss my +4 54att Blue Scarab!

Never played this era of maplestory, didn't start playing until post big bang, and i haven't played in years, nevertheless i hold a lot of nostalgia for the game, so these videos are really fun to watch. Very good production quality!

Oranges and flying plane stars are found in around showa town and could only be recharged in that area iirc. I had a set of orange and it couldn’t be recharged in town but I tried it in Showa and it worked

Incredible video, revisiting old MS this way really makes me appreciate the game more retrospectively. Despite all its flaws, class design was very creative and diverse which modern MS severely lacks.
