It can get very expensive travelling all over the usa to film movie locations. I've done 3 or 4 so far. Its very time consuming and expensive. Thats probably why they never continued making filming location videos. Plus I think they both have kids. So kids totally steal your freedom. Its no wonder they gave up.

This is the cemetery that my family is buried at and lived just over the hill from. The storm if '85, a massive tornado traveled roughly over 20 miles and went through the cemetery. No corpses were up rooted from the storm that was a myth.

The headstone they say they couldn't see the name on you can see it says "Myers" on the clip from the movie. James pointed at the correct one first. The full name on it is "Clyde Lewis Myers" :)

This was filmed where my mom grew up. My aunt used to drag my mother with her to the old horror double feature films because she didn’t want to go alone in the 60’s... Mom said she absolutely hated having to drive past that cemetery on the way home in the dead of the night after going to see those movies. Especially when they were the only ones on the road.

Great stuff guys! I recently went to a horrorthon at a local theatre and they played NOTLD on the big screen. It was something I never thought I would be able to experience. I'm glad to see the cemetery is looking relatively unchanged.

Unbeknownst to Nicholas Kramer. He would become part of cinematic history when his tombstone was used in the filming of this movie. He died in 1917 and motion pictures were still in infancy at this point. Sound pictures hadn't even come in yet!

According of what I read in ther internet, the big farmhouse of the movie was a house that was originally going to be demolished, so the owner let them use it for free in exchange of shattering all the doors, windows and furniture apart. I wonder if there still is a house at the same location.

Since Johnny dies of a brain injury, having his head caved in by a gravestone, shouldn't he have not been able to revive as a zombie?
@kandersen1991
@kandersen1991 7 лет назад
What about this, considering the zombie attacks and kills Johnny, why in the world wouldn't he start/begin eating him right there, instead of going after Barbara? That's the zombies goal is to eat the flesh of the living, and I'm fairly certain Johnny taking a hit to the noggin' wouldn't have turned off the zombies appetite..
@declansheehan1768

Someone argued to me that he might have broken his neck instead and he said they have a sound to show that in the remake.
@humbertojimmy
@humbertojimmy 7 лет назад
Well, realistically speaking, it doesn't take much for a person to die when she bangs her head, while it should take a significant portion of the brain being destroyed in order to kill a zombie. It's not like the 2 things have to be on the same level. Hitting a zombie in the head with a rock wouldn't kill him (while a normal person could die that way), instead it would take something more violent, like a gun shot or a spike through the brain. But never in the movie is it made clear that Johnny died on the spot. It's just as plausible that he was simply knocked unconscient and was *later* found and finished by other ghouls.
@ashtonguy1876

www.findagrave.com/memorial/21009491/clyde-lewis-myers That's the headstone Johnny hits with his head. If you look closely, you can make out the "Lewis Myers" part in the clip, plus it has father written at the top. When Mike gets back up, you can see "Clyde," so they must've had the right stone.

It's funny I'm sitting here watching your playlist of your film location videos from about halfway through when I decide to leave this comment and go figure someone already said exactly what I was going to say about 5 years ago which was the first thing that popped up basically saying you should definitely do this more often if my math is correct it's been probably at least about 5 years or so if you posted one I think you are do for one. I'm not sure what state you're still living in currently right now but I'm sure there's got to be some movie related stuff close by you I would hope anyway for all of our sake with Halloween right around the corner I know you like to do your monster stuff that time of year but it's also perfect time I hate to show some Halloween movie film location some sort.

I’d love to see you splice in the shots of you guys at the Kramer tombstone and bashing each other’s heads on the headstones into the cemetery scenes. Like show Barbara go up to the Kramer one and after she runs off it cuts back to the same tombstone only it’s Mike or James now. And then the zombie bashes he brother’s head and she runs but you cut back to now James and Mike getting their heads smashed. That would’ve been hilarious. 🍻
