I've watched a lot of tutors using only high end cameras to explain photography. But the fact that you use an entry level camera to eloquently present all the technical aspects makes your tutorials worth listening to. Thank you very much. You've earned a subscriber.
Thanks for the post/feedback Raghunandan and glad to be of help!:) Welcome to the channel!:) I created my first photo related video to simply help a family member and a few friends better understand their cameras. I soon realized many other people were in a similar situation and could use help - the channel grew from there:). Stay tuned as I have more videos on the way:).
I finally understood those 3 main constants of photography (iso, aperture and shutter speed). Read lots of articles and still was confused, and needed just one thoroughly made video to clear everything. Much obliged!
Really like the way you present the topic. Relaxing but very informative. Thanks a lot for taking the trouble going out at the wee hours and recording the process. Excellent video.
If I get around my city at such time, I can almost guarantee my gears and my soul will be taken by some gangsters :s Much appreciate your tutorials here. Easy and well explained.
I am very happy for your presentation, like taking pictures at night. For the first time someone explains so well and professionally and does not talk nonsense like others who do not know what they show in their videos. You are a super of the super And many thanks.
this man is so underated , he is so good and calm with his work .and using entry level dslr ,because he knows most of use entry level dslr only, keep up the good work my man💕🙏👍
You are a great instructor! Nice intonation, you speak clearly and slowly. Your pace is great. You also speak to beginners at a beginner level. Thanks. You are my favorite! Keep up the great work!
I find it incredible that after reading loads of articles about photography, that this one video explains to me exactly how to read and react to the exposure indicator on my D3300. No one else has ever even mentioned it. Can you believe that??!! So, many thanks to you for making my day!
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:) This is why I started the channel ... to create simple to understand information on how-to capture whatever (hopefully:)), and to simply help people feel more comfortable using their camera, technology, etc. Thx again for the feedback!:)
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:) Feel free to follow me on Instragram if you like - instagram.com/realworldpicts I just started the account and plan to post more picts soon:).
Finally got off my training wheels and did manual mode today. Your comment on the exposure bar is gold - without it I would've struggled with how to expose the image. Subscribed. Thank you so much and please post more content!!!
This has been not only one of the best videos I’ve seen on the subject but it taught me something that I didn’t even know about. The Meter! Great great video!
@@RealWorld PS I forgot to ask what camera you were using, it seemed really clear for setting screen adjustments, I have a sony a6500 and it isn't that clear so was thinking about maybe changing
Hmmmm ... great question!:) I have used a couple of cameras to record video, and I suspect this was recorded with the Canon T7i. Canon does a nice job with video in my opinion:).
Wow, I never knew how the trailing lights thing worked and I always wondered what " meant. I thought it was inches rather than seconds but that didn't make any sense. I appreciate it! Can't wait to try it.
'The game plan'....I smile everytime you say these words. Your videos are simple n very relevant. Thanks for all the stuff. Really appreciate your efforts.
LOL - thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:) I started using 'game plan' as I coached for a handful of years:). Feel free to follow me on Instragram if you like - instagram.com/realworldpicts I just started the account and plan to post more picts soon:).
Excellent photos, you are a natural in front of the camera. The most important thing that you said is always safety first, it's not always a given. Great tutorial.
Thanks for this video. I am a complete newb and I had no idea what the exposure scale was or what it did! Now I do! Can’t wait to start using the information you passed on! Thanks again, great video!
I've watched a couple of your videos and really like them! I'm wanting to get into cityscape and street level photos, and I really like these night photos! I'm really getting sold on the d3400!
Excellent presentation. Very informative as it is "enlightening". I especially like the fact that you recognize the importance of personal safety by having someone to watch your six. The world is very different from my days and utilizing a buddy system will help ensure you can reap the joys of photography for years to come. Well done sir and be safe everyone 🙏
Thanks for the post/feedback Mike! :) I really enjoy night photography and encourage others to explorer and enjoy as well. Nonetheless, the buddy system is always a good idea.
Wow...👏🏽 its incredible how good you explain whatever you are talking about without cutting the video in thousands of pieces. I have had a good drone and when I started playing with the camera settings I knew photography was really cool. So I'm getting soon the d3400. Thanks for your work. Its a really good guide.
Very informative for a beginner like me, especially so that I use an entry level DSLR. I can't wait to try the same techniques myself. Looking forward to more of your tutorials.
I just want to say that I highly appreciate your videos, both the old and the current ones. Please keep doing this great work of creating high quality content for us!
thank you for all of your videos. It has helped tremendously watching all of your videos, especially the ones where you use the D3400, since that's the camera that I bought, lol
Bless the internet, for novices such as me, with a brand new D3500 camera, having not a great deal of an idea, this kind of video is a real bonus.. Cheers, excellent stuff.
I’m new to DSLR and Nikon 3400, I’m so glad I found you channel, the way you explain and show what your doing is the best I’ve seen, can’t wait to learn a lot more from you. Thank you for a great channel.
I love this guy’s informative videos. He explains things so very well. I have shared his channel with other people. I love the fact that he uses entry level cameras.
Thanks for the post/feedback Tommy:). Regardless of the camera (Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc.), the concepts are the same. I may create another night shot video and dive into more details ... lots of fun:).
Just wanted to say thanks for this video. I was finally able to get out at night and practice some light trails and nightscape shots and they came our great! All thanks to this video.
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:) Great to hear you got out and took some nightscapes and trailing lights!:) I am thinking to have a photo review video if subscribers want to submit photos. I am curious to see what others are doing with their photography ... I imagine some interesting/cool images would surface:).
I really love your videos. I just bought a Nikon D5600 which should come tomorrow and I want to be in some way ready to use it and I fell that I can like trust your videos. Thanks a lot for your videos, it’s so relaxing to watch them and to learn something at the same time!
Congrats on the camera and glad to be of help!:) Photography can be a relaxing experience - the ability to freeze time for a instant and capture a memory is awesome ... enjoy the ride!:)
Great and informative tutorial! No matter what others might say, the hands on experience is the best form of teaching. Love the Indy's night shots. Greetings from Bloomington! Great sweatshirt! Go IU !!! ;)
RealWorld Yes, the rock quarries are cool, but I’m more interested in urban and nature landscapes. So far I’ve got a kit lens (Nikon 18-55mm), but thinking about Nikon 16-85mm to get soon. Would you recommend this lens for landscape photography?
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I have done some night photography but learned a lot from your examples and commentary. Your style of teaching is excellent and I look forward to watching more of your work.
I'm new to photography and your videos have been helping me immensely! Your presentation is very professional and down-to-earth. Thank you so much for your videos!
Love your Videos 📹 you should have way more subscribers- I had previously found you - and then I couldn't see your videos. So glad RU-vid finally let me see them again
Thank you sir, good video. I don't have a Nikon, but rather a Canon T7i. I took the methods you use and figured them out on my camera. This was an easy transition to go into manuel mode vs staying in Av or TV mode!
Fantastic video and thank you so much for taking the time do it. Plenty of good information and so well explained. Great teacher and thank you once again.
i lov this video, this is by far one of the best clear and understanding explanations for this type of photography i've found, i cant wait to try this out . please ... can you make a video how to take good shots of fireworks .....thank you, greetings from Amsterdam
Thanks for the post/comment and glad to be of help!:) Here is a vid I created on fireworks which should be of some help - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9ZzGtyKqb1g.html
Hey bud, love your explanation very simple and easy to understand. In regards to nightspace shots, could give us some explanation on the white balance (WB) settings as well please. I've learnt it over time on how WB settings can change the outlook of the picture colors. It would be great to hear from you.
This is great advice! I just started photography on a Nikon D3500, so the fact that you used a beginner level camera is very helpful. I also loved the shot of Indianapolis (right outside the Indiana State Museum).
Thanks for the post/feedback Matthew and glad to be of help!:) Are you from Indy? A great place to capture various shots ... really like the downtown look/feel:).
Thanks for this video, helpful and easy to follow as you explain slowly and effectively. Great thanks again, going to try some night shots which I have not done before.
Loved the safety tip you gave. I work in security and watching how naive the public can be at night is pretty crazy. It’s like come on people you can get shanked! Pay attention lol. Anyways, I get my camera tomorrow! It’s a Nikon D5300 which I’ve seen is very similar to the D3400 . I’m so excited and your channel was the first one that popped up about entry level DSLR’s. I’ve been so excited waiting for my camera that I just went ahead and marathoned all your videos. You’re very informative while being laid back and make this whole hobby fun. I can’t wait to finally get my hands on my camera! Thanks for all the knowledge you’ve decided to share with the community :).
Thank you..Thank you...after searching for hours I found this channel...BEST for us mortals, my picture quality much better...keep it up, and so easy..Thank you
Thank you so much for this video, I had no idea what the exposure line was, I now understand it thanks so much! I use the Nikon d3500 and I find this tutorial super helpful, thank you. Look after yourself, thank you for making this video!
that was a great video. thank you so much! I never knew about the meter ! Now this has become a hell of a lot easier then guess work! I am taking photography 1 in college and this helped me understand my lecture, so thank you! Looking forward to your other videos.
Thanks again RealWorld for a creative and well produced video! This video gives me some ideas, and am planning to go out and have some "night-time fun" I was going to ask why you had the Exposure Comp set at -0.7...but see an earlier viewer beat me to it, and that you addressed in earlier comments. Looking forward to your next vid!
Honestly I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel, I'm new to this and I already subscribed to a bunch of big photography channels but this one is my favourite, very informative and helpful. Greeting from Mexico :)
Hello - thank you for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:) Welcome to the channel the world of photography!:) I plan to release more videos focused on new users ... if I can do it, you can do it!:)
Went through bunch of your videos today. Crisp, precise & useful informations. It's awesome to see such great results from entry level gears and not asking to buy filters, expensive products only. Shows how it's not dependent on the camera. Cannot wait to apply these in practice. Please continue the good work. Immensely helpful for enthusiastic beginners like us.
