I enjoyed this video. I am a beginner photographer and will be self taught. I think I'm interested in this lense. I just purchased a Canon M50 and should have it this coming Thursday or Friday. I'm on a strict budget but will be looking at this lens. Thanks bro, I just subscribed to your channel.
One you thing you didnt mention or really talk about was since that this is a DX camera and lens, therefore its a cropped sensor. Shooting the 35mm is similar to shooting a 50mm (52.5mm to be exact) on a full frame camera. So does that mean all the shots you took on the 35mm in this video will look similar to a 50mm on a full frame?
So do you have to remove the original clear coat EVERYTIME before applying a new one? I know about the sanding and polishing, just wondering if clear coat has to come off?
Wow. I mainly do nature/nightsky photography but today I have been given the task of shooting my sons Primary school prom party, lots of kids and indoor disco. I only have the built in flash for my D5300 and I am sure there be all sorts of reflective items from the buffet table. Really learned so much from your video, especially TTL and Reflective items. Thank you so much 🤝
Great video. My go to camera is the Nikon P950. The camera works great for me. I’m able to take pictures at 200-300 yards with no issue. I love the bird mode. I can’t see ever buying another camera. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. ❤❤❤
The muppet presenting this video does not mention that with the D3200 or D3300 body the standard 50mm (which is for full frame Nikon cameras - FX mount) becomes a longer focal length. The D 3*** range are DX mounts and cropped sensor. So the 50mm FX lens is probably closer to 70 to 80mm on a DX body.
Love images like this, they are so unusual. It would be good if you could do some videos with different filter effects sometime. Great job Mark as usual 👍
I'm so glad to see you back. I was missing your videos and really hoping to see them again. I have learnt a great deal from your videos. Welcome back Mark! Hope to see many more of your videos soon! Cheers!!
Great seeing more of your photo tutorials. I see in the meta date " 52mm (78mm with crop factor)" What does the 78mm crop factor mean? Is that something you do with your camera of after the fact?
glad to be of help!:) crop sensors have a multiplier of 1.5 for Nikon and 1.6 for Canon. while the camera shows the zoom at 52, the full sensor equivalent is 78 (1.5 x 52). if you were shooting a full sensor camera, you would need to zoom at 78mm to get the same zoom as 52mm on a Nikon crop senor:).
The D7500 has a crop sensor but still a great camera!:) I used the D7000 for many years and put it through the trenches with no issues (weather sealed).
the d5500 is a solid choice, however it has the same sensor size as the d3400. while dynamic range might be slightly different, the overall image quality will be relatively similar.
Definitely need to use a screw in wire connector that will protect the wiring from being damaged by the sharp sheet metal edges if there is any vibration or shifting of wires in the attic.
Hi Mark, yes more like this. Btw did i see the battery door on old faithful has been fixed? As ever your videos are simple concisely structured and easy to understand. Great to see you back in the real world!
I love doing this. I haven't for some time as well. I have had some pretty good luck with my galaxy s8 and it had a shutter speed limit of 10 seconds. I've not yet tried it with my s23. I think I could get something really cool if I were to retry with that. I do also use the d3400 and is how I found you some years back. Love your vids and tutorials! 🤘😎🤘
Thanks for the post and glad to be of help!:) I took a few shots with the iPhone 14 pro, however I was not overly impressed by the results (I used the native app - perhaps a third party would be helpful).
The first ever video I watched on this type of photography was your original tutorial. It was so helpful to me and the way you present your videos spurred me on to create my own channel. It's great to see you back. Your image was great. It's inspired me to go out this evening and capture some trail/night lights. Thanks for theinspiration. 🙏
Hey there Mark! Really nice to see you again. I hope life is treating you and your loved ones well This is one topic I have been meaning to give a try now for a few years and just never have. I really need to. I love trailing light / motion blur photos. Thanks for sharing! On a side note, my wife an I were just down in the Shawnee Forest and we were talking about your shots you got down here. Loved those as well! Take care and be safe out there
It's been an age since I got out at night Mark. Thanks for the reminder. It's winter in my neck of the woods, so some fog would make an interesting addition. Thank you 😊
Good timing as I was just thinking the same!:) My thoughts? Absolutely!:) While advancements in technology have improved various aspects of photography (i.e. auto focus), sensor sizes have remained the same along with all basic functions (i.e. ability to manipulate aperture, shutter speed, iso, etc.).
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:) This is a departure from photography, but I believe in sharing knowledge in all aspects of life and hopefully this is helpful to others.:)
