All aboard! Halloween is just a few days away, so it's time for another Night Trains video! We will travel to several different places to see trains passing by in the evening and at night. You'll see trains in Chicago, San Diego, the East Coast, and the Pacific Northwest.

Great video! Trains look awesome in the night because the light shines and the honk there horn when there's no cars around and you hear the horns in great noise as the locomotive goes by!

Jackstermax I think those are Bombardier 3. Amtrak 822 has sort of an Ex Amtrak K5LA.

When the Amtrak Surfliner route was founded, an F40PH was made in Surfliner Paint. In 2002, when F40PH's became NPCU's and were being sold, Amtrak scrapped 410 and another couple after 410 that were Ex GO Transit. Amtrak kept 406, and sold some to Metra, MBTA, Music City Star, and a couple other commuter rails. Music City Star got the one in Surfliner Paint.

Meepper5 is correct. They are old F40PH locomotives that have been turned into cab cars. You can find out more about them in my Train Talk episode on the F40PH.
