His arrest and the subsequent uprising in the streets demanding his release made him a "hero" to his followers. After his liberation, he served as President of Argentina from 1945 until 1955, when he renounced to avoid a civil war and exiled to Fascist Spain, after a rebellion by the democratic segment of society also helped by sectors of the military happened. During his exile, the communists attempted to take over Peronism (which had appropriated their political banners), committing terrorist attacks in the name of Perón, kidnappings, sabotage, etc. When Perón returned 20 years later, to a chaotic Argentina, they tried to assassinate him at the airport, knowing full well that he was a fascist who would pursue them relentlessly. This culminated in the "Ezeiza Massacre", terrorist attacks, and Perón subsequently issuing orders to annihilate all communists within the territory. And they were annihilated; by his paramilitary police, the "Argentine Anticommunist Alliance (AAA)", by his vicepresident after Peron's death and later by the military which started the "Process of National Reorganization", which eliminated all traces of communist guerrillas in Argentina. Fun fact: Nowadays, the mothers and children of the terrorists murdered by Perón's government and the brownie immigrants who know nothing about history, still call themselves "Peronists" (XDDDD). Argentina might be one of the only places where communism has been so ideologically trolled and cuck*d that they have nowhere else to try to get votes from other than the name and movement of a fascist.
@@Huszky If Peron was a fascist why did he allow elections while he was president. Surely a fascist would've outlawed political opposition. Yet while he definitely muffled and harassed the opposition and created the cult of personality around him and Evita, he still allowed political parties to exist. And if the Montoneros wanted to assassinate him I'm more than sure they would've done it, like they did to Rucci or Aramburu. He was and remained a staunch anti communist there's no doubt about that. But he wasn't a Fascist
Let's see, I think the comparison is a bit exaggerated, since Perón objectively was not that bad compared to other dictators; the one who should bear the title of Argentine Hitler sVidela
@@Productions__santiago Peron was so fascist that even the military hated him and tried to stop his political project, he commited genocide against native americans just so his friends could make business in northern Argentina, indoctrinated little kids with books praising him and his wife, his face was to be everywhere, even on cafes there had to be a picture of him otherwise you would get beaten up by his followers, he even gave refuge to nazis that didn't even bring any benefit to us, such as Mengele "the angel of death". When he came back he ordered the destruction of "communist psychopaths" inside the nation.. what Videla did later was much softer than what Peron would have done with them, that is; not to let a single one alive.
@@Huszkyhmmm...
