San Martin is the Founding Father of Argentina.
Remembered as the greatest hero of the country, he fought against France for Spain in the famous battles of Bailén, Arjonilla and Albuera, later returning to Buenos Aires where he joined the revolutionaries and fought for the cause of freedom in South America, without personal interests or political ambitions. He spent a large part of his wealth raising the Army of the Andes, with which he liberated Chile and Peru.
He is also known as the "liberator" for such deeds, as Bolivar is also known.
