I am now addicted to this song, I don't know why but its just so...amazing to listen to; it gets to you and just makes you want to leap to your feet and dance!
I imagine this must be the type of music they play in the Xenoblade multiverse. . . . . I just had an image of Pyra or one of the many eligible Xenogirls dancing in a frilly dress to this and my heart has been stolen.
Axikia I have Irish and Scottish blood in me but the traditions like dance and stories are pretty lost even though we have only been in America for 3 generations so I’m trying to tech myself or find someone to teach me all the things I don’t know
I was in a car and I heard this exact song blaring from somewhere. I thought maybe my phone went on youtube somehow? Nope. I look out and realize this guy had this song turned up while waiting on a red light. This was the first time I ever saw someone listen to nightcore in public especially the Irish music that I secretly like.
I feel like folk music is starting to come back because people are longing for not just different music, but those simpler times this type of music harkens back to.
as an Irish girl I'm obsessed with Irish music and culture it's so great the other ppl are now liking it as much as I do, I know the dance to this and it's amazing so much fun to dance to
Lyrics: (Because why not) Look how, the lights of the town The lights of the town are shining now Tonight I'll be dancing around I'm off on the road to Galway now Look how she's off on the town She's off on the search for sailors though There's fine fellas here to be found She's never been one to stay at home Home you'll go and it's there you'll stay You've work to do in the morning. Give up your dreams of going away Forget your sailors and Galway Téir abhaile riú, Téir abhaile riú Téir abhaile riú, a Mhéaraí Téir abhaile riú 's fan sa bhaile Mar tá do mhargadh déanta. Come now and follow me down Down to the lightss of Galway where There's fine sailors walking around and Waiting to meet the ladies there. Watch now he's zooming along, He's finer than any sailor so Come on now and pick up your spoons He's waiting to hear you play them WOO! Here today and she's gone tomorrow And next she's going to Galway Jiggin' around and off to town And won't be back until morning Téir abhaile riú, Téir abhaile riú Téir abhaile riú, a Mhéaraí Téir abhaile riú 's fan sa bhaile Mar tá do mhargadh déanta. (Instrumental break) Off with a spring in my step The sailors are searching Galway for A Fine lady such as myself for reels and Jigs And maybe more Stay here and never you mind The lights of the town are blinding you The sailors they come and they go But listen to what's reminding you Handsome men surrounding you Dancing a reel around you! Home you'll go and it's there you'll stay You've work to do in the morning. Give up your dreams of going away Forget your sailors and Galway Téir abhaile riú, Téir abhaile riú Téir abhaile riú, a Mhéaraí Téir abhaile riú 's fan sa bhaile Mar tá do mhargadh déanta. (Instrumental again) Listen to the music flow I'm falling for the flow of home I'm home to dance til dawning Téir abhaile riú, Téir abhaile riú Téir abhaile riú, a Mhéaraí Téir abhaile riú 's fan sa bhaile Mar tá do mhargadh déanta. Stay a while and we'll dance together As the light is falling We'll reel away til the break of day And dance together til morning Téir abhaile riú, Téir abhaile riú Téir abhaile riú Mhearai Téir abhail gus fan sa bhaile Mar tá do mhargadh déanta Téir abhaile riú, Téir abhaile riú Téir abhaile riú Mhearai Téir abhail gus fan sa bhaile Mar tá do mhargadh déanta do Mhargadh de - do mhargadh déanta
Does it help that all of the untranslated language (Irish for anyone curious to translate) basically means that someone was making stay home because they were promised to someone in town already?

For those who want the Irish Go home with you ! Go home with you ! Go home with you, Mary ! Go home with you and stay at home, Because your match is made.
who kissed her on the neck and then took her by the hand said, "Baby, I just wanna dance" he met her on Grafton street right outside of the bar She shared a cigarette with him while her brother played the guitar She asked him, "What does it mean, the Gaelic ink on your arm?" Said, "It was one of my friend's songs, do you want to drink on?"
@@pooprock2496 so they got another drink and talked some more. he borrowed her brother's guitar and performed the song on his tattoo, which brought tears to her eyes and reminded her of home. at last she said, "come home with me. surely you won't have to leave right away?"
It's probably Irish music purists... I mean, they shouldn't even like the Celtic Woman version in general. Seeing as they added English lyrics... I honestly love this song.
KittyCatGirl11 sorry, this is REALLY picky but... It IS NOT IRISH it IS CELTIC ;-; i absolutely adore celtic songs... so i just can't hold back that complaint...
Before I was born my mom traveled everywhere like Scotland, France, Europe and much more. She knows their many languages and lived in some of those places, but I am named Cianna because it came from Ireland. I love Japanese and Irish music.
That was honestly the first thing that came to mind, the reel dancing before the lights. When I heard this song, I mean. I like this and the original both.
Good! Though, the music in this world is so great, I can't decide on which songs to discover XC WHY OS IT SO HARD?! But, still thats one of the world's greatest treasures: Music! XD
Love this song cant stop listening to it ^^ Téir abhaile riú, téir abhaile riú Téir abhaile riú Mhearai Téir abhail gus fan sa bhaile Mar tá do mhargadh déanta Off with a spring in my step The sailors are searching Galway for A young lady such as myself For reels and jigs and maybe more Stay here and never you mind The lights of the town are blinding you The sailors they come and they go But listen to what's reminding you Handsome men surrounding you Dancing a reel around you
I'm so happy to have stumbled upon this! The choir I was part of many years ago sang this, and I could never remember the name no matter how long I searched for it. And on another note, the nightcore version is absolutely lovely, thank you for making this!
Love this song. One the first and best Irish songs I've heard. I also found out what one part finally means. The phrase “Téir abhaile riú, téir abhaile riú, Téir abhaile riú Mhearai, Téir abhail gus fan sa bhaile, Mar tá do mhargadh déanta” is in the Irish language and translates to English as “Go home with you, go home with you, Go home with you Mary, Go home and stay at home, For your market is done.”
I don’t know how I got brought to Irish nightcore music ...... but I don’t regret it not one bit I will never retreat the minutes I gave to listen to this song I am not disappointed and my evening is improved
The girl is quite charming...and so is the music. :) I've long searched for such a song, and found it with the folkloric Northern, Irish and all those people's musics. :D (And of course the Nightcore makes it even more enjoyable.) Thanks very much for it.
