It’s an interesting point, because X-Men as a whole likes to treat the approval of humans at large like it’s some sort of prize. Some of them, like Beast, rightfully understand that the approval of a world of idiots is worthless and there’s no shame in being an outcast mutant. As long as they can’t harm you (and realistically, if you can teleport, they can’t), screw ‘em.
Have always loved teleportation powers in any media and it's no different with the X-men/Marvel. I love Nightcrawler's type of teleporting for being fast and (kind of) more attack oriented. Feel like Blink's teleportation portals provide way more utility, however. Lot of team moves that can be set up with Blink's powers. Definitely lean more towards wanting Kurt's powers though lol
@@anthonyrobino145 oh, easy.. in some iterations of Xmen, Nightcrawler sort of goes to hell when he disapears/teleports and pops back into our world. I think I read it in Xmen Ultimate comics
I kinda wish he was in the Marvel VS Capcom games. His teleportation and his swords would have made him a fun character if done right. He was an awesome character in the X-Men Legends games.
It would be cool to have teleportation but I'd rather have wolverines abilities. Longevity, super healing, indestructible skeleton and claws. That's just a little better. Dude literally won't die no matter what unless he is completely gone. No more worrying about getting the flu. Lol teleportation would still be cool, be better if he could teleport anywhere just not where he can see.
There is a movie called "Nightcrawler". When I saw that, I got very excited thinking it was about the X-Man character. It wasn't. Bitter disappointment.
Is it that movie with Jake Gyllenhaal? Yeah when I first saw it advertise I thought it was about the X-man character as well, till I realized it had nothing to do with the comic universe. lolz.
I've always wanted about Nightcrawlers Origin after seeing him in X2. I thought it was so cool the way he could teleport and I the blue color for skin was really cool. Someone told me that his father is a Azazel l And that his mother is Mystique. That totally missed me up! Because that's never explained in the movie. He's one of my favourites
Creepiest "Teleport" they ever did was in Xmen Origins Wolverine.... When his teleport basically, skins him.... Layer by layer to bone (almost instantaneously)... I cant imagine how it felt
I have been a nightcrawler fan since the 1st time I played the xmen arcade. A friend and I argued over who would be wolverine. Since my friend was paying he won. Once he saw the superpowers of nightcrawler he wanted to play as him. It was too late.
Nightcrawler's skin is blue because he inherited it from his psychotic semi-immortal shapeshifting momma Mystique. Her genes were dominant. He had a half brother Greydoon Creed whose inherited genes were recessive mutant wise and he was born human. But he was evil and assassinated but I digress. Teleportation is his mutant power because of his X-Gene. That is activated at puberty. His power works by giving him access to an alternate hell dimension that allows him to disappear from Earth for a short time. He must however visualize where he wants to go and this distance is limited. The amount of people he can teleport and how far he travels is taxing on his body so his powers has limits. If he blindly teleports he can rematerialize into a plane engine or between a wall and die instantaneously!!!!!! A side effect of his porting is a BAMF noise and a purple tinged smoke that smells of sulfur and brimstone. He has expertly woven his mutant power into his exquisite fighting techniques that are both balletic and precise. A pacifist Christian despite his demon like appearance this swordsman of the highest caliber can kick some serious a-- at a moment's notice making him an invaluable addition to any team!!!!!!
Lila Cheney is arguably the most powerful teleporter in Marvel, given that she can teleport across interstellar and I seem to recall intergalactic distances. Pretty sure I had a comic where she teleported to Earth with a whole group of people from the Shi'ar Empire.
I was so intrigued by him when I first saw him in X2 and I loved playing as him in games like ultimate alliance and that one xmen game on GameCube. I can't remember the exact name of the game but you play as a few of the xmen, nightcrawler being one, and the teleportation mechanic is fun and let's you kinda experience what the power is like to use
Same, he was already my favorite character but in the video games he was even more fun to play as cause you could hop around the room and teleport thru walls like u were cheating or had a wall hack. I think the only other teleport character was Deadpool actually, who usually is not known to use teleportation but in the games had a high tech device that let him use it.
I rememeber asking myself this as a child and not once ever googling or researching it then low and behold after all these years it just falls in my lap.
Thought I was going crazy but this is the first time I watch two videos back-to-back from this channel where the voices change.. I never noticed they were more than Narrator
Nightcrawler most definitely deserves a spinoff I'm sure it'll be very worth the wait after all these years I was hoping christopher nolan or michael bay could cook something up just saying 🤷🏿♂️
Nightcrawler always been my favorite xmen character, he has the perfect skill set for a ninja like character.... speed, teleport, hide in shadows. I wish they would do more with him as he has alot of potential..... tho I much prefer his more classic "swashbuckling" pirate type persona (joking, flirty, adventurous, action oriented) to when they tried to make him a super religious pacifist type (which is just lame as hell).
Nightcrawler is actually Hairy, in the comics he is described to be like, fuzzy, his skin might be blue because of mystique but the blue you’re seeing is the hair
Again big fan, really like your videos. I just don’t understand why you use ai art for the thumbnails when there’s thousands of comic images and even fan art out there
There is whole episode of him going through that dimension and he got a device to slow himself in that dimension. I dont remember it was becouse something was slipping after his jumps into earth dimension or something like that. It was cartoon serie of x-mens, dont remember exacly which one, but there were all of the yound x-mens as well
"Nocturne" is pronounced, "knock - turn"... The "E" at the end is silent. Given that it isn't a common word, it's not a big deal, but for the other people who regularly mispronounce words they read but don't know how they're spoken aloud, here you go: 1.) Chasm: (pronounced Kas-um) not "Cha-sum". 2.) Epoch: (pronounced E-pock) not "Epic" or "E-poke". That's all I have to add... I really enjoy the videos you guys put out, this comment isn't me being judgemental, or anything. You guys didn't get into the storyline where Kurt's Father summoned the dozens of blue, furred teleporting offspring to open a portal to Hell, but oh, well.
When he's jumping huge distances he's not going around the planet, he's going through it using the core gravity like a ship might theoretically use a black hole to reach faster than light speed and time travel. He used to only be able to jump where he could see up to the horizon, going through the planet is a direct line using the source of electromagnetism and gravity rather than his physical sense of sight or the exact location of where he's going, like lightning takes the most direct route to a conductor, the Earth itself is Kurt's conductor, he's like electrical waves going through it like a wire, and in a way in physics electrical waves in wires is sort of like teleporting electrons.
