Without getting long winded, I just want to say thank you for all of your videos. I’m new to the trapping world. I have learned so much from your videos that I can’t thank you enough. I know that they’re time consuming, but please keep putting them out there. I know I’m getting better because of them. Thank you, I wish you all the success you deserve! @@toddstrohecker I’m really impressed by your delivery; informative, but yet explained so the seasoned trapper and the novice feels comfortable. Been a fan for a while now, you’re my “go to” guy when I have questions. I know there’s a video out there. I'm a new trapper from NE Pa. And just night latched dozen Duke 1.5 and #1 longsprings with success! Best video by far on night latching. Also I bent the tabs like you showed in your new video. Keep the videos coming!
I night latched 6 duke #3's. Don't think I'll do it again. Traps are so sensitive I had to reset them multiple times. Just sifting dirt would spring them. Not a fan. Now I need to use pollyfill under pan.
Haven't trapped for over 40 years going to try to catch a mink never heard of night latch but I'm sure going to try it wish there was all this information years ago
Just make a “dent” so you can get the file started. Angle may be a 45 but it really doesn’t matter. All the Dremel is for us to make a place to get the file in.
Gave it up 50 years ago and I have to say succeeding generations are dumbing down? Then or now, if I were inclined to set traps at night, I would use a headlamp??
