It was day 3 in Uganda and myself and ‪@baldandbankrupt‬ ventured south to the remote regions of the country however this firstly required a 10 hour bus! After arriving at our location we randomly ended up in the ghetto meeting some interesting locals! The day was going well until we had to spend the night at Africa's WORST hotel where I was sharing a room with vicious bats! Welcome back to UGANDA!

i feel like no-one knows how to properly interpret those DNA results. it is likely not showing you "what % of your DNA/ancestry is from x" and instead showing you % matches to samples submitted from those areas. most english have minority norse-germanic & corded ware ancestry & majority 'celtic' & bell beaker ancestry. I suspect Ben doesn't know all europeans came from west asia & the steppe.

I just hope you know that the results from these DNA tests are disclosed not only to you but are available to every law enforcement agency. It is automatically filed in a database. There was a free condom dispenser by the entryway. It doesn't get more obvious than that. It probably wasn't a brothel, but I'm sure it was a place of business for a lot of workers.

He is. I first discovered the channel when he took bald to Afghanistan. Now one of my absolute favourite channels. Bald is more edgy and often extremely funny, but Ben is just super genuine nice guy. I think that's why they hit it off, their personalities are actually quite different but complement each other

Had a bat in my flat in Warsaw once. The misses freaked, ran into the bedroom, closed the door and hid under the quilt. Just in case the bat figured out how to use the door handle. Took a while to get him out though ;-)

5 pound /night cheap room not that bad actually (for the price) - it has windows, it's own bathroom, & didn't look particularily dirty...you could do a alot worse with dive hotels all over the developing world; worse condition than that, windowless /no private bath & way overpriced ...(the electricity not working is probably temporary, you'd think at certain times of day there's electricity if it's rationed

In all seriousness I wouldn't take a bat in my room lightly in Uganda. Rabies is definitely a real issue, but they can also carry some truly horrifying heamorragic viruses. Like Marburg : The CDC is hoping to track more of these Rousettus aegyptiacus bats in several other caves in Uganda. Marburg’s potential to spread was made clear a decade ago when a pair of tourists on separate trips walked into the cave looking for adventure and walked out with the virus. A Dutch woman died 13 days after her visit. The other visitor, an American woman named Michelle Barnes, survived after a long, painful illness. The cave was closed to tourists in 2008.
