@@nicolassundholm6721 If it's true that he's going to remove the tint and place it inside, the dryer sheet will make it come off easier. It leaves it slick. Dryer sheets work great to remove love bugs from your car.
It's worth giving it a try. And when you do a great job you can use it to sell the service to your friends and people in your area. It's a great side hustle and you should give it ago.
@@knowledge5106_ i tint windows on the side. Jeeps are definitely on the easier side to tint since the glass is mostly flat. Could even tint your windshield too
@@Avvmedia wow! Yes I do love how square and how open my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ is and the windows too. I really may try it. I've never tinted anything before.
Best thing I ever did. I watched a bunch of these videos. Went out and bought all the tools (Amazon lol) then I got everything all ready. Brushed my teeth and got all dressed up. Opened my garage. And then I went back to sleep and forgot I ever had the stupid idea in the first place. I booked an appointment to the tint shop. Best thing I ever did, was stop myself from torturing my own damn self. 💯 ✌🏻
There is alot he skipped and I want to see finished product not a quick swipe I promise it didn't all lay down like that I saw inside prep for the tint which means it will have all kinds of dirt and hair show later on
Hey so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind with a few questions... 1. How does someone get into tinting? 2. How lucrative is it? 3. How long does it take to become a "good" tint man
Fantastic learning videos! You waste no time. You never make it about you. Two things are obvious to me; you truly want others to succeed, and you are a pro! Thanks!
I just laughed so hard. 😂😂 you brought back a memory for me. 🤣. Me n my friend went on a road trip, and he had just got this crappy tint done? And when I tried to roll the window down- it came off and was flapping in the wind. And then it flew off. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
it’s either pay $600 to get it done right the first time, or spend half on the supplies your self and screw up 2 times before getting it perfect. and thanks to videos like this you may even be able to get it on your first or second try.
If you’re ever considering doing your own tiny, go drive around and look at all of the cars with tints full of bubbles. Those are all people with the same thought
The only thing that keeps me from tinting my own vehicles is that I inevitably end up with gunk between the glass and the tint, no matter how much time I spend on the cleanup prep, lol. Dude makes it look so easy, worth every penny.
You're a very good teacher. Clear directions and then demonstration. I have no intention of doing any car windows but I am adding film to my kitchen window. This will help for sure.
@@Koogz406exactly what i was thinking. Flat glass with square corners are a breeze to apply tint to. Not sure how this video will be beneficial to her at all 🤣
Hell yea , I got my to front doors tinted & the dude was like yea the bubbles will go away after 2 days bullshit , I still got them been 2 months , I wasn't about to take it back to his dumb ass again either lol
@@assassinleaked9356 you can get ‘em out yourself. Take a sewing needle and something to flatten it out with. Get the bubbles as small as possible so the air is as dense as possible in the bubble and pop it in the middle then flatten it down and it’ll look perfect. I tinted my own windows this is how I got my bubbles out.
This dude really just tinted that window like nothing while making a video. Not only are his tinting skills on point he is also an amazing teacher. Makes me want to tint my windows like the good old days.
Well, tinting is done on the inside of the vehicle, not that easy then. He is only shrinking the tint on the outside, after that you have to peel it off and install it inside without touching the upholstery, panels, headliner, etc. That's the hard part.
@@Morpheux1 oh really that's what he was doing? I was confused why he did all that outside the window and then showed it working perfectly inside... yeaaaa no, I've messed with enough vinyl to know I'd be bad at that LMAO it would be sticking to everything within five seconds of me peeling it off to move it haha
I thank you for sharing your knowledge and saving so many people from wasting their hard earned money and time on poor results from lack of insider knowledge. Seriously, thank you
Under carport on early morning, I tinted my jeep! As for the back windows I cut mines in half and lined it with the lines in the back window. Perfect. Let it sit in the sun to cure. I did I a few friends car later
As someone who's always tinted his own truck windows thank you for showing me how to properly tint a rear window! The bubbles due to the curve is what's kept me from doing my car windows
I think i saw some of your videos when i removed tint and put new tint on a year or so ago and they were some of the most useful videos. Thanks for posting these.
I use a local professional tint shop, they have machines that cut tint off a massive roll to the exact dimensions of your windows... Saves customers time since they dont have to use a heat gun to shrink the tint to the proper size.
Im good at a lot of things but tint and wrapping I can't seem to figure out. Seems to be so easy and it isn't at all. There's tricks to everything. Good job.
Just more practice that's all it takes, but it can be expensive that's the only downside if you messed things up. But if you're willing to spend some money and time on it you can get really really good at it and make some 💰💰💰💰
FUCK I will have have another crack on the weekend. Despite plenty of videos I went through a few mtrs just trying to do the back window, ended up rage quitting. haha. I hate being shit at things and feeling defeated!
Don't feel bad man, this is HARD. I painted my car myself, pretty much came out perfectly the first time. I also vinyl wrapped a car for the first time, and it was fine. But rear window tint? I failed multiple times.
I'm the same way bro, wen I first started I used to get so frustrated because I wasn't picking it up as fast as I do most things but u just gotta practice and you'll get it
The more curvature on the glass the harder it is to shrink. A buddy of mine used to create more fingers by pushing film together seemed to work well for him. But he always said some vehicles are just impossible like the VW buggie.
Sometimes you just have to rage quit then come back to it, dont give up. Usually after i walk away from something i come back to it calm and finish the job like it was nothing.
Thank You! I’ve got to redo a back window, well all windows. 20 y/o tint. Back started bubbling. Bringing her back to life. Prob will have done professionally.
This is similar to detailing/washing car. It looks so satisfying and easy to do. So it got me pumped up to start doin myself. And OO BOY I detail one rim and my back just gave up.
Actually, having the defroster on helps with the glue adhering to the window. Very useful for vehicles that have a lot of tension on the tint based on glass curvature. Also, use a clay bar to clean the backglass to remove contaminants from the defroster lines prior to laying your film.
Are you and 14 other people actually that dumb? Wtf do you think he put that piece on the back for and cut it to fit? 😂😂😂 in case you still don’t understand… he used the same piece on the inside 🤯
i guessing ..but the softener in the sheets give the glass less "cling". Allows for a smooth surface where tearing and air pockets are sometimes problematic.
@@truckloadofrhymes1 hey dip ass he put it on the outside to cut and shape it and then put it back on the inside are you blind you definitely wouldn’t get my business with that attention to detail 😂 0/10
I remember this well from my days in the tint shop. One of the first things I learned. I can spot a bullshit tint a mile away, if they’ve cut around the third brake light, if they didn’t do a 3M pad over the ceramic lettering or defroster lines or dot matrix it’s easy to see. If they use a machine to pattern everything out and think that means they don’t have manual trimming to do, walk away.
This just made me so sad. I've been tryna build myself up to tint my windows for 2 years now and watching this makes me realize ima just give head and pay someone to do it. Ugh. Thanks 😂😢😅
Even tho I ain’t lived in the glove since early 2006, I still love it! And love seeing anything from there such as this! Dope name, dope domain name and just an overall HELL YEAH from Vegas to y’all! 🫡
I used to tint windows. There was no worse feeling than spending a long time shrinking a back window just to crease it on install or get a chunk of dirt on it from moving it inside the car.
