Nightstand build - hand cut dovetailed drawer 

Nightstand build from Black Walnut. Drawer sides are hard Maple.
Traditional way of drawer making: half-lap dovetails on drawer front. Through dovetails on the back.
Solid wood as the bottom instead of plywood.
Drawer bottom grain should be going from side to side, not front to back as I did. This can loosen or block the drawer over time with seasonal expansion/contraction.
I did however, leave enough room for wood movement.
Finished with 2 coats of hard wax oil.
