I don't want to jinx it but I just checked and Tom Kennedy is still alive at the age of: 93! It is surreal that the late Johnny Olson was on this show. He was awesome.

That woman who got 5 zeros was referenced on the Christmas Day 1996 show from Season 25. The lady playing that day only got 2 chips, she got a zero with the first but hit the big $5K with her second.

I know channel 5 in Dallas, TX and channel 25 in Columbia, SC aired the nighttime version with Tom Kennedy.

@landrykkb Tom Kennedy wasn't in between jobs though at this point. He was doing two shows at once.

Does anyone remember on Bob Barkers verson when a women played plinko & got all 5 zeros? Also I just saw on Drew Carry's verson only got two chips & got both zeros.

That's either because Tom Kennedy was in between jobs or that he was constantly being compared to Bob Barker.

@fatmanfiftythousand Tom Kennedy hadn't yet started his hosting gig on Break The Bank when tapings for the nighttime TPIR had commenced.I recall Gene Rayburn had hosted that first before he got unjustly fired.Then Tom Kennedy had replaced him.

From what I've heard, his autobiography's gonna come out in April, and he'll make a guest appearance on the show either in March or April. Other than that, he's still active in animal rights.
