Couldn't have put it better. Who is "better" depends on your personal preference...but you can't deny both are supremely talented singers. Think they work well together...shame it probably wouldn't work on a long term basis.

Well, Tarja clearly has the best voice. But her pronunciation of the words are as always pretty unclear. Floor still has as a very good voice, and she gets the lyrics across to the audience much better.

@@tonybell9551 Maybe not now, as she has lost much of her voice. But when she was still in the band, Tarja was leaps and bounds better than Floor is now. That is my opinion at least. In my ears Floor sounds better than the average female pop singer. But that's all. But if you don't like opera? Then sure, anything sounds better than Tarja. And as I said. Floors pronounciation is way better than Tarja's.

Yes the work is done well and it's something I would like to see , but I spotted it as a mashup early on when I stopped the video and focused in and saw the the 2 of them were not on the stage. Had they been together they would have been nearer to each other. I dearly would like to see it happen , but I'm not holding my breath. They could have mentioned too that it was an edited film.

Tarja's voice has a quiver in it that to me sounds like an old lady. Floor's voice on the other hand is so stable and powerful. She is next level, but on this concert only. On subsequent concerts she seems to have lost this unique powerful sound. Still amazing till this day though!

Nightwish, Queen and Sabaton are the best to ever take on stage. Queen overall and vocally Nightwish with their scores and soprano's Sabaton with their amazing stories about millitairy history, fan service/interaction, their baritone (Joakim Bróden) and uplifting beats. All of these 3 are the best in their own ways. Do not forget Floor is married with Hannes from Sabaton (drummer). Keep em rocking 🤘 and NOCH EIN BEER 🍻🤘

My thoughts exactly. I couldn't stop my tears listening to this video imagining how their voices would most likely tear my ribcage if they would be singing together in a band. Because whenever I listen to them I feel like being reborn.

@@wolfshade1979 I can find you mass of artists who can sing like Floor. There is nothing complicated about it. How tarja can sing units. Floor cannot sing half the songs normally, which was performed by Tarja. She doesn’t always get into the notes.

Floor doesn't have the same range (not by much) but has way better control and power. Your comment is retarded. Tarja does better at stuff like Phantom of the Opera and the Siren etc, Floor mops the floor with Tarja at everything else. stfu

Strider I noticed that you understand vocals very poorly. Opera vocals are many times more complicated than usual. Can you find at least one cover on RU-vid that will sing in the same opera voice as Tara? There are none. The opera voice is very complex, especially as in Tarja. Now look at the dozens of covers that sing like Floor, some of them sing better than Floor. So understand in the question and then write something.

Absolut! Ich frage mich heute noch warum Nigthwish nach dem Abgang von Tarja, Anette Olzon als neue Sängerin verpflichtet hatten!?! Die Frau konnte die Hälfte der epischen Nigthwish Songs an denen Tarja mit ihrer großartigen Stimmte mitgewirkt hat, nicht Performen bzw. war es meines Erachtens (Live) nur peinlich! Daher habe ich Nightwish auch für viele Jahre nicht mehr (nachdem ich natürlich auch die neuen Alben an denen Anette Olzon mitgewirkt hat) gehört . Irgendwann habe ich dann mal gelesen, dass Floor Jansen zu Nigtwish gestoßen ist und die "Minnie Maus" (mein Spitzname für Annette) raus geworfen wurde. Hatte damals nicht viel erwartet aber als ich dann das Live Album von 2017 - Vehicle Of Spirit - Wembley Arena gehört habe, war ich hin und weg! Floor Jansen toppt meiner Meinung nach sogar Tarja, nicht nur vom Gesang, sondern auch von der Bühnenperformance (die Frau macht mehr viel mehr Action)!

Trotzdem passt sie stimmlich für mich nicht zu Nightwish. Ich finde die Stimme von Tarja hat den Sound von Nightwish stark geprägt, das kann man nicht durch eine andere Sängerin ersetzen, die zwar technisch einwandfrei ist aber komplett anders singt.

Well, I don't know Tarja but she was more opera schooled, and Floor was already a front singer in After Forever and used to it all. 🤗🇳🇱

OMG yeah! That would be soooo amazing! I really love when their voices mix together the sound is beautiful. I think Tarja and Floor are very complementary.

tarja is a great singer, but i feel she is a little too dominant for nightwish. i am happy with floor as the lead singer.

I think that the two together would be wonderful, but we all know that's wishful thinking....
