all that hard work of countless professionals and all we have today is a shitty upscale of an ancient 360p video, even on the official nightwish channel. what a shame.
Anette had such a strong, clear voice. So sad :( Tarja was extraordinary, no doubt. Floor is awesome live, but on album Anette had more energy and the stronger voice. I wonder why Floor sounds so flat on CD/mp3 in comparison to what she's capable of...
In the day1 shoot there were atleast 20 personnel involved in addition to the band. This music video must have cost an arm and a leg. Can anybody tell me how much it cost Tuomas?
Before this I've only seen Making of Islander, and was surprised how much wining and everything being wrong for her. Smoke in the eyes, cold, wind. Oh man. Then I saw Bye bye beautiful and same thing was in there. And now she complained that she was singing so much she had to stop??? She supposed to be a singer. How she ever pulled of an full concert back to back days bewilders me. She has few good songs, but wasn't obviously NW material. Think if Elize Ryd would of had the job instead Anette. Elizewas way too young and needed to grow as a singer so maybe that either wouldn't worked as planned. Idk. But things went like this and I love it. We get to witness Floor Jansen. She really is a sweetheart woman.
I don't get the impression that she's whining. All music video recordings have multiple takes and she was making jokes and exaggerations trying to ease the mood and atmosphere.
I saw the exact opposite. The people making the video were impressed by her. She has a great sense of humor. She's an RN. No matter what you think, Anette was very professional and a sweetheart as well. All the singers are incredibly nice women.
Many people fail to understand that singers *are* a delicate instrument. Even Yannis Papadopoulos describes how delicate the voice is (e.g. see ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JpG92jUbGRE.html) and many professional singers cannot perform more than 2-3 shows in consequtive days before they need to take break to heal their voice. You don't take an antique Stratovarius to poor conditions and vocalists are about the same. Rest of the band can put their instruments in cases and they'll be fine. A vocalist cannot do the same. That said, obviously different vocalists have different ability to cope with less than perfect conditions. It seems that Floor is especially strong here.
