What a woman! Same As Nightwish and vine just better and more precious with each year! Unbelievably talented guys, mesmerising music and stories. Marko, he will always sing his parts in our heads, even without presence on the stage
"Marko, he will always sing his parts in our heads, even without presence on the stage" - Spot on. I heard him several times while listening to this video just now. Glad I'm not alone.
It's gotta be weird for her too. They all seem so close, but now the new bass player seems like he knows he's not filling Marko's shoes. The one person that maybe could do it probably wouldn't because he has his own career and that's Leo Moracchioli. He can play the bass and sing and his personality would fit in, but as I said he's doing his thing and I doubt he'd be happy in a band.
@@HellcatM They should get Bruce Dickinson to sing Marko's parts. Just for a one-off concert, and focus on Marko-heavy songs then lock it down forever on Blu-Ray. It would be fantastic.
Found this band purely by chance , I was looking into classical music covered by metal bands my first exposure to nightwish was their rendition of the phantom of the opera with Tarja and Marko wow better than broadway in my humble opinion but I never bothered to check them out until a few months ago when I saw a reaction video to GHOST LOVE SCORE with FLOOR JANSEN what a vocalist the power the clarity the way she can switched tones low notes high notes and every note in between probably one of the greatest female singers I have heard, yes I have heard tarja, Whitney, Mariah, Amy lee , Sarah brightman......... but FLOOR she is in another level a goddess.
Just decent or half the magic!!!! I know Floor is a Goddess but even her cannot able fill the endless void which Marco left behind!!! She is trying and doing a GODLIKE job!!!
Thanks for sharing, much appreciated. I'd love to hear a pro audio recording of this show, the whole gang seems to be in top shape. Yes Marko is missing but the energy is top and Floor appears to be at the her since... well since that legendary Wacken show 8 years ago!
Floor's on great form, but it's missing something without the second vocal. I'd love to hear troy's take on the male part, his style would suit the wistful lyrics so well.
I miss Marco I’m not going to lie, that being said am I the only person who thinks this is the most comfortable Floor’s been with the back catalogue NW songs, I get at this point she’s been in the band for over nine years (Eight technically) but still. She sounds the best she’s ever sounded, again just in terms of the back catalogue. No complaints here mind, just an observation. My ears could be playing tricks on me though however 🤘😂🤘 That bass at the start though 🤘🖤🖤🤘 Jukka’s bass is fantastic, he rocks out with an Ibanez bass right? Sounds f’ing good, like it doesn’t disappear in the background so to speak.
@Mickael Lindh I think I hear a second set of vocals in the final chorus. Did someone in the band actually sing this, was it a recording or just some dude near you whom your mike picked up? Edit: 4th option would be I'm imagining things and there were no backing vocals there at all :D
I hate to say this... But this is one song that should be taken away from the setlists. Marko definitely owned the "Dream of me!!" parts. The void that he left is particularly huge on this song. Floor is Floor, as always, but... This time, it just doesn't work. And if Marko left the band for good, Tuomas seriously should consider finding some proper replacement. Or promote Jukka to an official member and give him a microphone (I read that he does vocals in Wintersun. I should give the band a listen... What kind of vocals does he, clean or growls??). I love Nightwish, I can't wait to see them in October, and I will keep on supporting them, and I'm happy to know that they are working on a new album... But Marko's departure was a HUGE setback. No wonder that Tuomas was ready to throw everything away after he learned about it.
Way back when, I didn't like Marko as in my mind it was him and his vocals that pushed Tarja out of the band(probably wrong)...But upon hearing this.......there is an empty space that cannot be replaced again as Tarja(my favorite) then Jukka, and now Marko I think this may just be unrecoverable. yes the music is still good but.......the chemistry and feeling is just not there
