Still windmilling like no tomorrow.. I thought she said somewhere that those days were over. Apparently not! :) Just hoping for a gig in Sweden soonish now. Thanks for sharing!
@@023achilles Yea, they have a gig at Sweden Rock festival but that is not possible for me. Have my hopes up for a specific NW show somewhat closer but nothing is announced. I started listening to them just a few years ago and got instantly hooked and ironically they had a show just a couple of months earlier a few miles from me. Still annoys me.. :)
I remember when Anette was in the final months with NW and there was talk about getting this "Floor" as a new singer. I didn;t know her, but they said she came from the superhardcore metal, with the growls and screaming and how on earth will she do the sweet, romantic or nostalgic. Being young, stupid and afraid of "hard metal", whatever that was in my mind, I stopped listening to new songs around that time, before even anette left for real. What an idiot. I cannot imagine NW without Floor and even enjoy a lot of her old stuff, growling suits me just fine. Irrelevant: Anyone recall Tuomas in the middle again? It's usually the drums where he is now, and he's got a spot on the side. Is it because of the venue?
Kai mentioned that he decided to switch places with Tuomas as not to have to drum within the confinement of a "plastic box". I believe he said the sounds he is making is interfering with Floor's ear piece, making it harder for her to sing. By moving to the side, he can still connect with Tuomas, Troy and the others which is what he prefers. True team player.
I'm a bit envious of the Oslo audience. Everybody is having a good time, and is certainly still alive weeks after the event, while a couple of other European countries indulge in fear of the Plague or so. 🤔 The Berlin concert has been moved (for the 3rd time) to November 2022 ... keep hoping ..
And then back left again. Perhaps their medic has told them to get more exercise, hence the stairs. I don't think this stage set up will last for long. One show will have told them it doesn't work.
Got tickets to so many Nightwish shows here in LA, only for them to be cancelled due to Covid. One day hopefully. My lady needs to experience that "Floorgasm". Hope the production is bigger when they come to town though. Was this a small venue?
What happened to the pyro? And the side screens? The videos are the same ones from the Decades tour. Costs must figure highly I guess but their absence is a shame all the same. No complaints at all about the performance. Fabulous. But she can't carry this vocal off on her own forever. A lengthy tour performing like this for two hours every night would quickly take its toll.
Please do not compare a normal small Concert that was filmed with a Mobile Phone with Wacken 2013. Wacken 2013 was an epic show because of the recording of the live DVD and it won't be back anytime soon or be topped by another Band. PS: Thanks for uploading the Video and greetings from Germany
Wacken 2013 was a one-off, when all the planets aligned, and Floor and the band gave the performance of a lifetime, with festival-scale effects and a multi-cam crew there to capture it. All the same, if I had witnessed this performance live, I wouldn't be complaining.
So...you're comparing a show that had professional filming and sound capture, mixed by the best in the industry, that also had tons of pyro, and was open air, to a typical indoor show, lights only (here anyway), and acoustics bouncing off the ceiling, walls and crowd, and is then being capture by what is very likely a cell phone. Insert the Dr. Evil "riiiiight".
