Her voice on faster songs always inspired and relaxed me and on ballads made me cry...she has this effect on fans all the time....

To me this surpasses the original with flying colours.

she was and will forever be the magnificent classical voice which set the standards...for female symphonic band vocalists...Floor used to sing beautifully in that fashion too until she joined NW

@@perfectone5848 It must be so sad to be so bitter. I too discovered Nightwish through Tarja about 4 years ago. But I decided it was the music that grabbed me. So no matter who the singer is I appreciate how they present the song............ :-)

@@EvilcorkinReacts Highly recommend this song too! if you can check it out, its totally worth it the song is great and Marko is amazing as always :) Its an English version of a song from his album that he released in Finnish earlier this year :) The English version of the album is out towards the end of January :)

It's epic - it kickstarted Nightwish back in the day and I bet Gary Moore was pleased at the rendition!

Please don't flame the wars. I'm fan of Tarja's, not hating you praising her, but there's a better way by cheering your idol instead of belittling someone else.

amen..she grew tired of Tuomas's grip and set out to charter her own fate putting out as many solo albums as NW did all together

you mean without NW...the absolute truth...Tuomas altered her vocal style from the original andmy favorite ,low mezzo to mid to high soprano, then he insisted on doing more gigs so as to raise more ticke revenue , disregarding her requests to limit the amount reasoning that her voice needs to be rested...(what does he know or care about vocal health maintenance) then Tuomas developed a strong disdain for her husband Marcello, claiming that he was breaking up the NW family...and here i am silly me, thinking that a family is supposed to take its members's wishes into consideration when deciding on a course of action...Tuomas had little regard for her requests...she, in many interviews expressed a feeling of insecurity being the only woman in the company of many men who sat around swilled beer and gave her no privacy...Marcello tried to stand up for her rights and Tuomas would have non of it...there is the source of theri rift...then after singing her guts out while recovering from the flu. they preemptively dumped her in a cowardly way..as a man, i hate to see a woman cry, especially one who has brought so much joy to so many people.....there was never any doubt in my mind that she would go on to a brilliant solo career, given her stellar vocal skills, but it made me pause, as did the cruel firing of Annete, who still harbors a ton of resentment towards them...well enough of this levity..on a serious note, if i may ask, why the nickname deceased?...seems a bit morbid...

onlyth truth2 I’m also am a fan of Jeffree Star if you don’t know him then you wouldn’t understand the reference deceased 😂. In all honesty Nightwish is good with Tarja, Anette, and with Floor. They are the first and only Symphonic Metal band to only get and have 3 of the BEST singers in symphonic metal. Nightwish is at the top of the list with Epica, Within Temptation, and of course Tarja. And for woman wise Tarja Turunen is the only known woman in Symphonic Metal along with Floor, Simone, and Sharon. I personally think those 4 ladies are so well known in the symphonic metal world. If someone said “what’s a symphonic metal band” you’ll probably answer with Nightwish or Maybe Epica. If someone says “Who is a symphonic metal singer” you would probably think of Tarja or Floor. Anyways sorry I’m off topic but honestly Tuomas is a mastermind at writing music but I didn’t really like how he fired Tarja and Anette. The way he fired Tarja on a piece of paper how immature, if possible show how mature you are, I know Tarja said she was a diva but if you were friends for that long of course you’re bound to get in some bad arguments and disagreements but you should take the person in private place and REALLY talk to them. And with Anette poor girl she was the innocent one and funny thing that Anette on Instagram posted on her story “Tell me something” a fan said something about Nightwish, I have the Screenshot of it anywho she said something like “oh I’m not friends with all of them but yeah” I for sure know she is talking about Tuomas. I think Tuomas is actually the real diva in the band. I listen to Nightwish on only Tarja’s era and very very very few on Anette and Floors era. As you can tell I’m a HUGE Tarja fan haha but is Tuomas really the bad guy here.

@@FluffyLaDooDoo i am a Tarja-holic too...i am not discounting Tuomas's song composing skills but all his songs deal with loss and deconstrction, whereas Tarja and her crew 's song meaning are constructivel Tuomas is a master manipulator...he drove her out with his controlling manner and dumped Annete in her pregnancy state....she is very open and direct about her disdain for him...and he already altered Floor's normal classical/metallic sound to just a generic, soft , cuddly vocal style...lets see how long she'll go with it...at any rate, always happy to talk to another sensitive soul...feel free to comment in my direction , anytime...best regards and happy holidays

actually Tarja's vocal range is quite extensive and though she doesn't growl , she can skillfully alter her voice to sound very low and deep while maintaining a beautiful flowing timbre...just check out "from wishes to eternity" concert from 2000..you'll be very impressed
