Oh man, I really love your reactions! They're so genuine and you never say anything bad about anyone. I agree, it's not cool to compare the singers as they have all their unique styles.
I love Tarja's voice! If you want to see Tarja's iconic performance with Marco, watch "The Phantom of the Opera", also recorded on the DVD "End of an Era". Curiosity: Tarja was sick when she did the show recorded on the DVD "End of an Era". She was even advised by doctors not to sing that day. She had a throat problem, the flu or something. Thank you!
my friend, if you like this performance ( and she was going against doctor's orders having a throat infection and fever that night to avoid disappointing her fans), you must see her exquisite renderings in the "from wishes to eternity" concert, summerbreeze 2002, raumenmeri 2003, toronto, 2004, lowlands 2005 concerts to fully appreciate her enormous variety of vocal flavors
Speaking about the three female vocalists, to me Nightwish is like a bridge connecting two extremely different yet both gorgeous lands (Tarja and Floor) separated by a sea strait with a beautiful island in the middle(Anette): the bridge is a mutual connection between people from the island and the lands (the fans) but it exists only because its pillars are sustained by the three rocks. Without just one of these talented women, we would have had no Nightwish at all... Peace!👋🇮🇹🖖
Marco and Tarja's interactions in this show are just... sad to watch because you can almost see what Marco is thinking while Tarja is just completely unaware. Emppu and Jukka hide the drama better but with Marco and Tuomas you can really see something is Wrong at times. And yeah, there are a couple of keyboard blunders from Tuomas in this show. I think it was a technical issue though I couldn't blame him if his head wasn't fully in the game. And gosh, I miss Jukka.
@@felipelara81 Yup. I'm know he had suicidal thoughts/feelings in the aftermath, but he kind of deserved some of the shit he got thrown at him. She was his friend for more than 10 years, and his Singer for 9. It's fucked up.
Detrucci, you mentioned about Tuomas' keyboard solo. Somehow, it reminds me of the riff of Hallowed Be Thy Name by the Maiden haha. Also, you can pause as many as you can to say something in the middle of the vid. Most of us have seen this anyway. Middle finger to the haters. Wait a sec, you said you already did Walking In The Air? I need to see that!
Thanks for a genuine reaction, was energetic ^^ Well, in order to avoid Nightwish drama. Check out Anette in Dark Element ^^, and Tarja as a solo artist. I don't know if you already heard it but Marco released his own solo album and you should check out his video and song called Stones. It's amazing! That song is currently my obsession, can't stop listening to it
For some reason I missed this one when it came out, a shame because I love this song Totally agree that the contrast between Marko and Tarja is amazing here, as it is in other songs. The keyboard solo is better in the studio version IMO, seems to be roughly simplified here.
Does anyone know what Marko shouts in the beginning, obviously in finnish? What i heard is that "... on rikki" Edit: I got it. He says Hartwall Arena rikki (to pieces)
Your reaction was awesome and salute for not falling into the argument who's better, I subscribed! In my opinion, Marko and Tarja is a best duet in Metal for the reason you have stated, the contras between "Beauty and the Beast' sound. "Phantom of the Opera" is another amazing duet of Marko and Tarja from End of The Era. The best version of this song IMHO. Also their duet shined in "End of All Hope" live from Summer Breeze Festival 2020.
Please react something from Tarja's solo career. Please react song "Crimson Deep" live version from DVD "Act I" or "Supremacy" (Muse cover) live from Woodstock 2016.
