R.I.P Ann Waychoff mother of the Nightwish Army. June 28th, 2020 . Ann was a big Nightwish Fan. And every new person who listened to NW, she went through a little chat. And gave them some info about NW. This was her favorite song. And this song belongs to her. I like very much that Gabriel have continue Ann s work.... so her heritage is still here.
I remember that after I discovered Nightwish reactions, I managed somehow for once that I was there before Ann, and that resulted in personal contact via e mail. She was fun, there are as far as I know 2 interviews with her on YT with a heavy metal guy, can't remember his name.
To be fair, most reactors don't cut it off, they are using the Nightwish upload which, like the concert, didn't include the poem. The video with the poem was a fan edit.

Until the Breakdown hits you with a 10 ton hammer it is all fun and games. But then the slow chugging monster with the machine gun riffing takes over. And for every Metal Head this lights up the day. Awesome….Imho one of the best songs ever. Sometimes the sky is piano black…. My favorite performance from this fantastic concert! (Though I'm not a fan of this extended version.) As I recall, Tuomas was inspired to make metal music after attending a Metallica concert, so it wouldn't be surprising to find some influences here and there.
I have been a fan of this group since 2000 and out of 50 plus live shows that I have attended, Wacken 2013 will always remain my favorite! Second only to the Masters of Rock concert 2 years later which holds a special place in my heart for reasons I won't get into here. I have traveled to many places and have seen many bands in my time but noone will ever come even close to Nightwish!

Brilliant reaction 💪 and this extended version are showing why Nightwish are so unique. Yes I know its a fan made version - just like a couple of other versions of their performances - like the Human Nature 2. cd with pictures. But that's precisely what Nightwish / Tuomas wants us to do - it just shows how deep his thoughts affecs us and inspire us. That is the purpose of Nightwish music..

Oh I appreciate so much that you stayed for the poetry! It really is thought provoking. When they played this live, they had the poetry on the screen behind them. It's too long and maybe boring at a concert. So thanks for doing the full version, I rarely see anyone do that.

Interestingly Metallica recently headlined a festival and Nightwish was band on before them. Is a video of Jamed Hetgield fist bumping Floor after their set. Then Metallica went on Tour withFive Finger Death Punch who had to pull out. Metallica needed someone to open their Amsterdam gig and gave Floor a call as a result of meeting st the festival. She obviously said yes and did a solo gig for them.
You ended up with the album poem added on by a fan. This was obviously not included in the live show. I think you would love a song from her first band "After Forever".
