Nightwish - Wish I had an Angel (Tarja Turunen END OF AN ERA live) | REACTION!!!! 

Tarja, Anette, and Floor have all delivered masterpieces.

THE last Tarja's performance with Nightwish, the tension in the air is electric.

To be objective, the greatest number of songs have been written for Tarja's voice. Most of the songs presented on the channel were originally sung by Tarja - Over the hills and far away, Phantom ot the Opera, Dead Boy's Poem, Elvenpath, Slaying the Dreamer, Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean, Romanticide, Ever Dream, Dark Chest of Wonders and, oh no, Ghost Love Score was written for Tarja's voice.

No need to explain Daniel. Tarja is an amazing vocalist. You will discover why she was so beloved by the older and many newer fans. This was the last song with Tarja from the last show on her final tour. You could see how mentally distraught Tuomas was at the ending.

Last song in the End of an Era concert...and so nice. This line up made NW the leader of the genre globally...after starting from a camp fire band. Rest is history and concept defined for the new followers to take space and join into the group..and continue as defined.

Never compare. Respect every singer and their place in history. Of the band. I’ve seen footage of this band with Tarja when they’re teenagers. All short hair. Very cool. This band needed Floor, and Floor needed this band exactly at the right moment in time.

All 3 singers are amazing. It simply is a matter of preference. For me, there’s some songs I prefer Tarja or Anette at the mic but the majority I prefer Floor. But they are all amazing!!! Nightwish❤️

Heya Daniel , this is the very first Nightwish song I heard 19 years ago on a Milwaukee radio station compilation promo cd and shortly after searching online and cd shops for import metal cds of the Finnish band for more ... I joined A Nightwish Army and never looked back . Its been an awesome ride for nearly 2 decades .... and counting . Until later , take care .

I greatly appreciate the variety. Most of the time they just present two or three ways to sing a song. Don’t compare, but if you have a preference that’s fine. Respecting the bands origins is a great thing.

I love Marko's and Tarja's voices together, so much amazing contrast! This was the last song, not only of the concert but also of a long tour and Tarja was so sick that day she could barely speak in the morning, so her voice usually has even more power and texture than here! ❣ Thank you for the reaction!! End of an Era was the last show with Tarja, and worth a watch, Tuomas was rather proud of the performance that night of everyone. The whole band, besides Tarja, knew that was their last gig together, and the band had written the open letter to give Tarja at the end of the show telling her she was fired. Signed off on by the whole band. This performance was Tarja's swan song with Nightwish, like Wacken 2013 was Floor's coronation to the Valkyrie Goddess and Metal Queen. I personally like Tarja, she has a great voice, but the way she had gotten with the band was a mistake. Floor to me is not only the greatest singer Nightwish ever had, but the best I have ever heard, fits with Nightwish like a glove.

I think you are spot on, on your analysis - Nightwish's evolution were meant to be with the different members with different styles, skills and maybe the biggest factor - different personalities! The 3 different bass players and the 3 different lead singers, plus the arrival of Troy - all these briks in the evolution of Nightwish are essential - to get Tuomas's stories told, so they could be the masterpieces they are. I do think it's okay to compare the different singers and bass players - some prefer A and some prefer B - we are not alike !! - and we understand and interpret the stories different - and that's precisely the point in comparison...

as a fan from the very beginning of Nightwish i love every single Era, and album ... not every song, but ... ;) FIND your own not liked song(s)!!! hehe what i didn´t like was Anette live - trashing all the old songs live and even "her own" songs, but that´s me and my opinion guess why there are not many live recordings from the 2nd singer era ... so i am not the only one not liking it.. but the studio recordings with Anette are in my heart, and are still my most listened-to albums from Nightwish

Love watching your reactions to NW with Floor. Although Floor is my favorite NW singer, there are some songs that Tarja's versions are awesome. Two such songs are 'Wishmaster' and 'The Siren'.

None of the Wacken songs were written for Floor. She'd been part of the band for less than a year at that point. The Imaginaerum Tour, which the Wacken concert was part of, started with Anette Olzon as the lead singer. Floor replaced her about halfway through.

Yep - Nightwish captured lightning in a bottle TWICE when it came to their vocalists - first with Tarja (who originally attracted me to the band) then later on with Floor, the more versatile and in some ways BETTER singer

This was the last concert, last song, last moment that Tarja was with the band. I am sure the song of choice was intended. It sucks that it had to end that way. Being a fan of Nightwish for over 20 years, I have been on a journey with them, and not blinded by one particular vocalist. I will always support Nightwish as a whole, but I can't deny what the band was back then. Everyone has their favourites, but a true Nightwish fan will appreciate ALL memebers of the band at ALL times.

Tarja has a wonderful, rich voice. They all sound, and look, a bit tired here, especially after the song is over, but that is understandable after a long tour, a long concert and, for the band at least, the knowledge weighing down on them of what was to come.

The wors mistake people, fans, can make, is divide in groups. The band is Nightwish, and that band has had three vocalists. Each one of them had their value and added something to the band. You can prefer one more than the other, but none of them was a bad singer. Perhaps Anette wasn't so good live ( even her songs don't sound very good live), but the studio albums where she was vocalists are great albums... Just enjoy all eras of the band, don't divide, don't fight. We have enough dividing coming from govenrments and different lobbys that are all the time trying do devide us, by colors, sexual prefferences, religion, ideologies, etc Leave the music alone. Just enjoy !!

This is actually the last song they performed with Tarja, they gave her the imfamous dismissal papers right after the show. (I'm sure twenty other people said that already, but I don't have time to read all the comments, lol).

One of the big differences I have seen from this earlier Era of Nightwish is the difference in the way the video camera shots, rapid pans/zooms, and other effects tries to build a sense of action, along with Empuu madly dashing around the stage, and I am glad he did not choke on Tuomas' wine. There must have been a change in how they recorded these concerts. I find this earlier style a bit distracting while I listen/watch. I have seen better songs with Tarja, and Marco is really strong here.

What's important for you to notice about these End Of An Era 2005 performances...is the *intensity* with which the band plays...they literally did not know if that would be the very last Nightwish concert, ever...and their faces tell tales! Hello. Brief facts. This song is from Century Child 2002, album #5 2nd last with Tarja ( Taa rrr we ya Two Ru men) you said it well. (1996 founding until Oct 21, 2005. This night. They knew. She did not until news broke overnight. Leaked copy of a sealed letter. The tour was ONCE upon a dream. The DVD released the next summer called the show The End of an Era. (Tarja's). She has been solo since 07. 17 albums out and so much much more. Things are better between the ex members now. Civil but frosty. Anyways this is the final song of the concert and her last with the band. Filmed in the then Hartwell arena in front of 11, 500 fans in Helsinki Finland capping of a world tour in their nation's capital ( Finland's). Tarja and Marko both had colds that night. But the show had to go on. And unless you know what they sound like in perfect health and know to listen for it, you would not know anyway. 6 different costume changes for Tarja. The biggest most epic set up ever for them. Album recorded with London's (UK), Symohony Orchestra and Metro Choir voices. A truly rich and epic sound best demonstrated by songs like Ghost love score. Again, i like the video of this with Tarja. This is definitely a Tarja song and one of the 2 songs i knew of 20 years ago. My Mom loved this song and had this CD. When i rediscovered them last year i asked if she remembered Nightwish. She said yes! She remembered this one and Bless The Child (another Tarja only song imho). So happy you did this one.
