@@Slick-ng5kf Yep, and she has that special way to do it that makes a grown man cry, over and over. The way she feels the lyrics when she sings them, from very fragile to indestructable before you can blink an eye.

That's the fascinating thing about Nightwish and Floor... you never know what they're going to come around the corner next. It doesn't matter if you've known the band for decades or only 5 minutes - with every new song the band will surprise you.

Yep, definitely Floor growling through the whole song. Haha. If you listen again you hear Marco singing the high note throughout the every chorus. And Floor doing the low growls. Look closely at their faces too. 😄

Previous to Nightwish Floor was in After Forever (the first band she was in) and ReVamp (her own project after AF broke up). That’s Empuu Vuorinen on the purple guitar. He’s a founding member and been the main guitarist for NW from day one. Troy Donockly is the other guy. Troy is the utility infielder for Nightwish. He plays: Uilleann pipes, tin whistle, low whistle, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, bouzouki, cittern, bodhrán, and mandola. He also contributes vocals on occasion.

Yes, Floor in nasty mode, she can do it all ❤ It was Empuu on guitar not Troy (the Uillian Pipe and multi instrument guy) he is not every song on stage. Liked your reaction! I love this song! And it’s not only due to the fact that it’s a kickass tune. The song is the bands way of telling the trolls and haters that their behavior is toxic and that it is futile. But there’s also a inviting line in the song that tells thrm to “turn from the hate, turn from the smoke I see the parchment of your soul, the notes, the song, join our voice”. That’s basically asking the trolls to stop being the bullies that they are and be better people. That’s how compassionate Tuomas and the rest of the band are.

I still kick myself when I think back to 2013 when Nightwish came to my town and did a small intimate concert when Floor first joined, and I missed it because I was overseas in Japan 😭

Well, Marko is a great singer, but I don't think he can do clean vocals and growl at the same time 😆 Floor isn't the only female singer who can growl. Tatiana from Jinjer is another one. And then we have Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox and Mayu from Nemophila. I am sure there are a bunch more.

Heavy songs, Romanticide and A Song of Myself. Softer, Everdream, Nemo and Storytime. Marko the bass plar featured on Phantom of the Opera and solo on High Hopes, the Pink Floyd song.

Hehe that dawning of realisation is wonderful and it always happens on that last chorus. You would definitely get a kick out of Romanicide, that's another heavier rocky track, though not as brutal as this. "Song of Myself" is my personal fave, that has a finale to it that is just transcendental.

I loved your reaction and especially when you realized that, yes, that is Floor growling throughout every chorus while Marko sings clean above her. Thank you for this.

It takes most people a while to connect the dots that Floor does the growling. Partly because Marko has such a nice high voice. You should check out him singing in his band Tarot. There's video from the 80s of them performing Wings Of Darkness in full hair metal mode with the hair and makeup and everything 😊

If you like pipes, you should listen to Saltatio Mortis. A medieval band with great Musik and videos. Good Songs are "My mother told me " "Pray to the hunter " or "The dragonborn comes " Another good band are "Feuerschwanz with " Metfest " "Schubsetanz " Black Metal version" or "I see fire"

Instant 👍!!! Yes, Floor has no limit ! Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). She can sing from classical to belting and raspy vocals like screaming and death growls. This awesome song was about internet Trolls (F them ). You wand more Demonic Floor?
