To me If they did Nightwolf right in the next mortal kombat game have it that His pet wolf Kiba is named Nightwolf the great spirit of the wild that picks a worthy heir to become the Nightwolf and picks Grey to become the Next Nightwolf that not only gives him the skills of a wolf but to make weapons out of the power within him

You know it would’ve made more sense if they made Stryker the computer guy not nightwolf
