I don't think their actions would violate an NDA anyway, they didn't really disclose anything about Niji. They might have violated some internal niji policy, but that's not legally enforcable beyond firing them. Maybe niji could argue they revealed selen's other identity, but did they actually say that? They just linked another stream and told people go to it.

Nijisanji has dissolved entire branches before, like the original "Nijisanji English" that was actually Nijisanji India and was graduated just a few weeks before LazuLight debuted. Nijisanji will (unfortunately) survive this given their long-standing JP branch but the EN branch might itself dissolve if Anycolor gives up and decides it's not worth it.

I agree that it sucks for them, but at the same time I totally get it. Watching them just serves to reward Nijisanji/Anycolor. It sucks that they get swept up in it, but at the same time I think it's understandably why. The company needs to fail or improve, and if the company doesn't improve, the livers need to move on or they will go down with them.
You could say they lost subscribers because of how the company painted their livers as bullies that it gave them unwanted hate from people. Whether it's true or not, the company planted seeds of doubt and hate to the watchers towards the livers. I unsubscribed to all of the livers because I wanted to show that the company made an error of releasing unwanted blame statement. Like do they think people will still subscribe to their workers/livers when they released that "some of the livers" bullied Selen? as if they didn't bully her.
The Nijisanji and Black Company pages on Wikipedia aren't truly "locked." They are "semi-protected," which means that accounts that are at least 4 days old with at least 10 edits can change those pages.
Go the "Black Company (Japan)" -page on Wikipedia, select "View history" and you see that the summary for revision, that undid the Nijisanji edit, starts with "I'm sorry about Selen." It could be just PR speak or basic courtesy, but the Wikipedia mod sounds like "I only disagree with you due to a technicality."

The argument from them is less “ninjisanji is a fine company” and more “please provide better sources”. So once some “reliable news sources” emerge the edits will likely go through.

While it's not impossible that livers were involved with the bullying, it's very possible that the managers are trying to cover their ass so that they don't get fired.

Considering some livers have actively protected the company and chastised critics and the absolute silence some have had, you cannot fully absolve the other members from potential blame. Speculation is speculation but reasonable inferences and deductions are valid and likely true. For example, it is not likely that the whole EN branch had literally no idea about what was going on with Selen and her management troubles. I'll even be generous and say a majority and not all but there is literally no way a lot of them were not aware that Selen had been targeted for some time because she's seen as a "trouble maker" in a corporation's eyes. I've seen this in a corporate setting I've worked in before and have also had something similar happen to me directly as well. Many people have likely been quietly realizing that a lot of these livers undoubtedly looked the other way when it came to Selen's troubles. The difference between my anecdotal evidence and reality is that they're all public figures who need the support of people to keep their job. Harassment against these talents is certainly a step too far but people are definitely waking up to what kind of work environment Nijisanji builds

I wouldn't be that sure about that, they have been having their falls over AnyColor SEA projects in parallel with NijiEN, the difference in the size between branches is what makes it seem as if nothing happened, just recently a couple long standing livers from NijiJP graduated and one of them went indie in the same week for example.

I was a Niji EN boi for quite a while, but I was unfortunate enough to have my favorite Liver be... Zaion. I adored her personality and how expressive she was with her model, and how genuinely energetic she was. And the way Niji "handled" her? Yes, she told a stupid joke and didn't really fit into a corpo structure, but to throw her under the bus like that just a month after her debut and to demonize her to the point of having twitter nutjobs doxx her down to the house? Everything about that was fucked up. Since then, I've never felt the same way about Niji anymore. BUT all of the graduations and terminations of the recent year have been crazy. And now Selen, the genuinely most bubbly and kind person ever, to find out they drove her to an "attempt"?! Yeah, I hope they burn along with everything they stand for. Which is mismanagement and bullying apparently.
The worst? Is that I see people still defending Nijisanji, or saying Selen did the attempt as an "attention seeker" or "manipulative snake", or even saying that she she's weak for doing it and that she deserved it. It's absolutely disgusting.

Selen's channel was at around 800K subscribers at the time of her termination yesterday. I checked last night and at the time Dokibird had around 236K subscribers. In other words, Dokibird managed to recapture nearly thirty percent (29.5% when I did the math) of her audience in the span of just twenty-four hours despite not having streamed on that channel since 2021.
Unless I misinterpreted this but I doubt this will sink the company. It may tank their English branch but the rest will be fine. Some big companies are backing this awful company.
tbh i'm not as 'into'/knowledgable about vtubers but the concept of an agency/corporate existence seemed predatory to begin with other than the founders being vtubers themselves/just a smaller group or like an existing company used to managing regular youtubers/small actors and having a vtuber/online branch or so but even then there'll always be some contractual bs/some indie ppl can prolly go viral/freedom to just do/say what they want as opposed to just existing upcoming idols/smaller working actors in Japan debuting as vtubers as opposed to ppl with no experience in the 'entertainment' industry

This is truly the first time I have seen a termination announcement for a Vtuber talent by a Vtuber organisation *start the fire for revolution but its in support for the talent and AGAINST the organisation itself.* Now, the outrage & frenzied support for Doki/Selen has been amazing but I fear innocent Nijisanji talents are being unfairly attacked. From what I can gauge from Selen, she was definitely harrassed & discriminated upon by management staff but also bullied & made a mockery of by talents like her too. Until we have 100% concrete evidence to who the guilty Talents are, attacking all of them won't get Selen the justice she needs as we could also be attacking the talents who still treated her properly, more so as a genuine friend too.

Nuck Fijisanji. They're an absolutely vile company, and everything in this video had me smiling from ear to ear. Artists, merch vendors, fans, and even other vtubers all working hard to support Doki - who was being wronged for years - is incredibly wholesome to see. I may not have seen much of Selen outside of clips, but everything I have seen and heard about her has been next-level positive. She's super kind and very hardworking, pouring thousands of her own money into organizing events for her own community, as well as for large cross-company-and-indie vtubers, and did her damndest to make sure people had fun and were rewarded. During her entire time at Nijisanji she's been a paragon of positivity, making fans happy and making bank for niji, yet they've stifled her at every turn. Niji's treatment of her has been disgusting. Unforgivable. I, too, want nothing to do with them ever again, outside of hearing more news about how they're burning to the ground. I don't know how to feel about the talents that remain as of yet, but I'll keep my ears open. As that one comment said, everyone is sus. I don't know enough about any of them to really vouch for them, as the biggest niji names I knew of and respected most (Pomu, Selen, and Nina) are now gone. Hope Dokibird is able to bounce back from this stronger than ever; it sure looks like she's got her fans behind her, which is awesome to see. And since it looks like she's on RU-vid, I think I'll go give her a sub, myself. I may not have seen much of her as Selen, but this time I'll make sure I at least give her an extra number, as the least I can do.

The most dissapointing things is reading the comments from Japanese side and fanbase. If you see their comments on Japanese announcement and translate it you'll know that most of them are blaming Selen and defending Nijisanji. Even go as far as mocking Selen for breaching corporate laws and said that she deserved to be terminated. Some JP fans also said they want to buy Nijisanji stock to save the company

Kuroniji is worse then you think; Selen said she was bullied from the inside of the company - this does not directly imply livers, just someone in the company. The managers and execs in the company are already sus from [insert the last 3 years of Niji's idiotic shit here] but it was NIJI'S OWN ANNOUNCEMENT that mentioned livers, so not only confirming Selen was bullied, but naming livers as possibly or wholly involved. This means one out of only two possible things: 1) Niji's managers and staff were solely responsible for bullying Selen and no livers were involved in it, but Niji would SOONER THROW SHADE ON AND SUS OUT THEIR LIVE TALENTS THAN LET COMPANY MANAGEMENT TAKE BLAME, or 2) Niji knew that livers were involved in bullying Selen, with or without managers joining in, but care so little for their livers and/or are so incompetent that they would not/could not cover for their livers by taking the blame solely on management and execs. Translation: If you are a liver in Kuroniji, your own management has either A) thrown you and your reputation to the wolves that is your own fan-base to save their own ass or B) demonstrated that they are NOT having your back even in a case of possible damage-control to save reputation. Either way Kuroniji looks like shit and is a shit place to work. We knew this last part already but having it confirmed time and time again is honestly starting to get depressing. It doesn't help them in the long run. They might save themselves for now, but their branch might collapse. No point in continuing to work for them when you're going to be made fun of and possibly even harassed for your perceived role in bullying a vulnerable person. Especially when you can just cut your losses, get a new model/persona, and try to put it behind you. They will become a JP-exclusive company, and assuming their missteps don't lead to disaster in Japan, they'll basically be nothing compared to the international firms like HoloLive and probably VShojo in the near future.

Just a few clicks on twitter and I found out about Dokibird and immediatly subscribed on YT and followed on Twitch(yes there is a Twitch channel under the same name just fyi). When I subbed to her YT, again this was around 8am it was only at a little over 10k subs. That fact it is now, as I just checked (7pm est on Tuesday), closing in on 300K SUBS is INSANE!!!

realistically and unfortunately, I think its both. A lot of times, s attempts are a result from feeling trapped and having no way out. If you can't go to your superiors in a company and you can't take concerns to friends within it... It'd be a difficult situation to navigate, especially with a bunch of contracts and legal documents expressing you arent allowed to talk about internal affairs with ANYONE not even family.
