The funny thing is that the defenders are making up their own narrative, such as Dokibird attacking others, or that Elira, Vox, and Ike did nothing wrong, but all that need be done to counter their 'argument' is quoting Niji's or the livers' own statements. It's all self-incriminating. Dokibird has taken no PROactive movement this entire time, everything she's done has been REactive. And even then, at no point did she attack anybody, much less specific individuals; all she's done is describe her own actions and clarify what's happened to her and her desire to leave it all in the past. The reason the public keeps getting madder and madder at Niji is because they keep saying stupid shit like, "Selen did not have permissions, even though all the relevant parties came forward to say they gave perms ages ago," or "We fired our most beloved vtuber but there will be no impact to our finances, neener-neener," or "We were afraid Selen would doxx us, so we struck first totally unprovoked even though she'd already said she wanted to drop it," or "Our livers cannot be blamed for leaking legal documents because they weren't the ones told not to leak them, only we were. Which makes the fact that we leaked them to said livers totally okay somehow." Like, the level of stupidity displayed by Nijisanji is astronomical. Every single thing they've said and done since the 5th has been making themselves look even worse, but they've continued to do it like they don't have a proofreader with a single shred of intelligence. The company is run by toddlers, ffs.

I'd like to point out that, RE: the selen song thing, it wasn't 'just a day'. She had been working on and planning the song for an entire year, involving her manager and getting permission for things the whole way along. The use of those ex-livers didn't happen on the final day; The manager had WAY more time than 'just a day' to begin the process of getting those rights but delayed until the literal last second when the song was all ready to go, and even then, it was a further 36 hours, not a day, of delaying by the manager FOR RIGHTS THE COMPANY OWNS before Selen put the song up anyway. No excuse.

For doki to be the mastermind woukd require some hypothetical Aizen and Kira fusion planning god to keikaku this doori.

8:35 The thing I've noticed about this situation is had Niji been trying to protect their livers they'd have terminated Doki on a largely neutral note. And they wouldn't have mentioned the bullying at all. No they were not trying to protect the livers at all. In all likelihood they were trying to protect one of their staff members in charge of Doki. Reminder Doki didn't say anything about her formerly fellow livers bullying her. She simply said "from withing". That could easily be construed as from within the company as a whole. Not just her fellow livers. Plus we've seen the company manipulate information and lie to turn her former coworkers against her. Why wouldn't they do the same in a now vain effort to avoid criticism? My point is that they've in all likelihood been using their livers as shields from the very beginning.

Doki has said not to harass people both on Twitter and on RU-vid. She has made several statements not to attack people. But when the internet is pissed this is the result.

Something i think a lot of people have missed: they didnt need to confirm RIGHTS for the old talents. They needed to confirm PERMISSION. A lot of people talking about how Selen's management team should have been given more time has me wondering what level of management quality they are used to. In Talent Management or Agent training in the USA we're taught that your response time should be SAME DAY. The only thing that should take longer than that is setting up brand deals.

I dunno what the grace period is in Japan’s Visa upon expiring/termination, but know that I’ve been in that situation during covid lockdown, was laid off WITH NO PRIOR NOTICE, along with my entire department, nobody was spared, we lost our working VISAs as well. And worst of all we had 10 days to renew it or leave, I chose to leave with the measely sum I had saved up. Long story short it isn’t worth the working VISA for a company who can just off you at any given moment, wouldn’t be surprised if Niji suddenly adds more of their talents or terminate them for trying to stand up against company orders.

I don’t know if this was ever talked about but when Selen was still streaming in Niji last year, I always wondered why Selen never really streamed with her vtube sister Elira anymore. Was always waiting and looking forward for when they streamed together again.

I have to say, it's truly remarkable that Elira's most viewed stream of all time is the one where she slags off a former co-worker in an attempt to restore the reputation of a multi-billion dollar company. There's a bit of irony there, but I'm not exactly sure how to express it.

By opting to run NijiKuro's company statement on her own channel, and with two other livers, Elira, Ike and Vox painted huge bullseyes on their own heads and then went and stuck halogen floodlights on four sides of each one making it easy to target them specifically at a time when a lot of people are enraged at NijiKuro. The three of them had a choice. Put out the statement or quit. Quitting would have been the best option they could have gone with. They sold their souls and chose to become targets for their employer.

I miss Pomu. But I have no doubt she would be involved in this drama if she didn't graduate. Also, pretty sure the statement would be sent on her channel instead of Elira's.

For people who think no one is satisfied no matter what Niji does: Literally, the thing they need to do is fire people. Those responsible must be fired. That’s what accountability is. You do not get to screw up so bad as a manager that bullying and harassing is protected and self harm is covered up and also keep your job. Nijisanji failing to fire crap managers and trouble-making streamers is an indication they don’t want the monetary risk of hiring replacements. All this waffle and blame is meaningless. Also, voluntary quitting. If someone KNOWS they fucked up this bad, their responsibility is to step down. That’s part of why people are mad at Vox. He claims he’d been willing to graduate alongside Selen, and then didn’t, and still doesn’t. If he actually cared he’d have already done it.

We in the west have romanticised Japan, we see Japanese culture through rose tinted glasses. Look beneath the surface and Japanese culture (especially corporate culture) is brutal. Doki might be best joining PHASE CONNECT a Canadian based agency who's looking to grow.

Amber Herd(?) and Doki's cases are completely different. One was a divorce(?) case and the other was going to end in a termination that almost had a SELF termination. While I don't condone people bulling and pointing fingers at the livers, I would like to withhold judgment. Especially since Doki herself asked us not to, but also because it seems more like its management's fault then the livers going by how many talents, they have Graduating and reincarnating with a different company.

The only ones I can see doing this is either bots or Japanese investors that prefer to trust companies than individuals, as Japan is more corporatist* than the US where companies are more protected from an individual

This situation is a reflection of Niji's incompetency and mismanagement of their talents, which may allow a toxic work environment to fester. They have a paper trail stemming from previous terminations, graduations, sourced work, and auditions. I do want to give the talents the benefit of the doubt because it is ultimately the company's responsibility and I don't know specifically what the hold the company has over them (considering what Sayu said about the other livers feel their worth is tied to the company; also how you have to allegedly give up everything for the company according to people who auditioned)

The only thing at this point that comes to mind that might improve Niji's reputation somewhat is them publicly admitting fault on the offical social media accounts (all of them) for Doki's mismanagement and turning a blind eye to the bullying and apologizing to Doki, followed by the public and immediate termination of every liver who was involved in bullying her and every manager who was involved in mismanaging her (altough if the Grand Unifying Rrat is right they might be the same people)
