No no no they didn't break up that way. It happened after the first reddit post blew up and got spread around everywhere. He actually posted a follow up to the story. His girlfriend's sister recognized the reddit post and showed it to her parents. The parents became unhappy and made their situation more awkward. He then ended it with "We are over now and I am moving on."

Him finding out or her telling him that she actually disliked the song since the beginning wasn't the reason. They were still together it's just everything's awkward after that. And then the reddit post blew and the girl's parents found out that's what made them break up.

From what I remember, the dude’s Reddit username was his actual full name and he used both of their actual ages in the post so the girlfriend’s sister was easily able to recognize it was him. That + he had apparently played that exact song to her family before (bc an ex told them he had weird taste in music so he showed it off as an example of his taste lmao). The Reddit post exploding in a way where the girlfriend’s family now knew a song that her boyfriend thrusted to during sex probably made things infinitely more awkward for her than just silently hating the song for 2(?) years before telling him ^^;

Why Yugo was probably "suddenly seiso" when Maria showed up: The others were all used to having kouhai, but Maria is one of Yugo's first kouhai (in NijiEN), so he wanted to try protecting her. That, and she's also notoriously adorable (and if anyone disagrees Imma fight you /hj) XD
