It takes a lot of fortitude for someone to admit that they were uncoachable. She now realizes that Geno (and the other coaches) has helped her; hopefully she will continue on this path.

Nika has a great spirit and is a real team player. She can also take it inside and drive to the basket. She sometimes dribbles a bit high and loses control. She is awesome on defense. She is very coachable now...even Geno can coach her..ha!

Every kid on that team is amazing. It's a credit to the coaching staff and the caliber of person they recruit. No thugs allowed. Nice kids and great athletes.

Don't get me wrong folks, Nika has had a great role in this teams success, I've only be trying to say, if she's slow her self down to a gallop, and think about what she's doing and what coach wants, she'd probably be averaging a double-double with 12 to 15 assists a game. If Paige makes it back and with the addition of KK Arnold, I'm not sure what role Nika will have next year.I hope she's rewarded somehow. Arnold is a real point guard like Bueckers. Next year, barring the catastrophes of this year, this team could be amazing.

Why would you think that Nika, in her 4th season and starting the majority of her career would be replaced by an incoming freshman. Also, you are not paying attention to Geno’s history of being loyal to his senior players. Next season, don’t expect to see a lot of playing for the incoming guards, particularly with Paige, Azzi and Nika returning. After Paige missing the entire season, and Azzi missing the majority of the season, do you think they want to miss a single minute of playing together for at least one full season. Paige, Azzi & Nika don’t want to come. The incoming freshmen will have to wait their turn.

@@brianmchugh3757 I don't think Nika will be replaced by a freshman. Nika will be replaced by Paige, Azzi, Caroline. She'll still playing time but no where near 30 min a game Probably more like 15.

@@svpst1 Then you are not hearing what Geno has to say. He likes her presence on the court and will often go with a 3-guard offense, with Nika at point and Paige & Azzi at the wings. Nika’s playing time may diminish next season, but not because she is being replaced. If Aubrey returns, there will be a solid 8-person rotation, and that doesn’t include the two incoming freshman guards. As long as the team remains healthy, minutes will be down for most, especially if UConn gets back to stomping over teams early in the game. Unless Geno changes his philosophy, the players he is most comfortable with will play. Nika is one of those players and has earned her time.

@@svpst1 Also, don’t forget Jana El Alfy. She may be an underrated overseas find at 6’4. Depending on how quickly her and Brady get up to speed, you may be absolutely right they steamroll over teams. Paige and Azzi could go down as the best shooting backcourt in WCBB history. Of course, after the past 2 seasons, it will depend on staying healthy.

Those are ankle supports. She has had problems with her ankles/feet before so she is taking an extra precaution. I think other players should follow suit.

NIKA: No more touchdown passes from basket to basket. 75% of the time it goes out of bounds. No lazy cross court passes. They're getting stolen at an alarming rate. For the rest of the team. Be aware of your surroundings. The ball is stolen out of your hands too often. Keep moving even when you don't have the ball in your hands, the entire team just stands around.

Based on the Georgetown Game today, she still is uncoachable. She makes the same mistakes over and over that Coach addressed 2 days ago. 5 assists and 5 throw aways trying impossible passes.

@@billgreen2348 Even with those numbers she made the same mistakes, just not as many. He criticized her drives and passes she tries to make that are ill advised. She had a great game but it could have been better. Dorka and Aaliyah and Nika missed 8 layups between them. one of her competitors for point guard of the year had 30 points, 17 assists, yes, 17 and 10 boards.

With 5 games to play, Muhl was still leading Clark in assists. Clark blew her away in the last 5 game and scored >25 per game at the same time, while Muhl was right around 10 .I'm a big Husky fan, but please. Nika thinks she's Bird or Clark, no. But if she'd learn from her coach she could close the gap. She makes the same mistakes over and over, and I personally think that she thinks, rather than learn from coach," I'm going to prove my way is better." She's obstinate.
